I have been a massive consumer of this product for a long time. However, during the past 6 to 12 months the quality has become non-existent. Each packet of beef jerky normally ships with a moisture packet to help assist in maintaining freshness etc... It has been my observation that over the past 6 months the uniformity has been inconsistent in that one package of jerky may have two or even three moisture packets while two or three other packages will have zero. No quality control on uniformity for the shipping practice with concerns to the moisture packets. A few moments ago in a poorly lit area I had opened a new package of Carne Beef Jerky and as I reached the 3 piece I happened to notice an odd color which in the poorly lit area I had assumed was just some excess fat (which I am not a fan of) that every once in a blue moon you will get a piece of jerky with some excess fat (Most of the time their jerky is or has been simply / perfectly the best again the quality over the past 6 months has just gone down the crapper...) so I flashed some light on the oddly covered piece I was about to eat only to find that it was not fat but rather MOLD... So to summarize, These guys were good a year ago but somewhere along the line they have gone off the rails. If you do decide to purchase this product be aware that you are at risk for food poisoning and other associated issues... I would not recommend this product any longer until they straighten up whatever mess is happening in their production situation...

FINALLY! Someone who realizes that you don't have to soak beef jerky in sugar to make it taste good! THIS is what jerky is supposed to taste like! My only suggestion would be to package it in a bag w/ a zip lock.... but it's not a problem for me as I will be eating the whole bag as soon as I open it anyway!It's a shame that the major beef jerky manufacturers (or ANY major food manufacturer for that matter) feels that they have to put sugar (corn syrup, etc.) in everything. Thank you for proving that it's NOT necessary.

We love it ! I'm South African and we do our own kind of jerky called biltong, this product is a perfect middle ground between biltong and jerky. I love that there is no sugar of any kind in it and it still tastes like meat. A lot of beef jerky products I've tried just don't taste like meat and are really hard to chew...not Keto Carne! We also follow a ketogenic diet and these are a road-trip/ travelling lifesaver :)p.s we use roasted coriander on biltong...I think it could make a good additional flavor.

This only more proves my point that sugar just does not belong in our food. After reading every label on every bag of jerky and only being dissapointed with the fact that they have upwards of 9 grams of sugar I went to Amazon. This jerky is awesome. The spicy is spicy. And no sugar. It isn't what I'd call tender but it is just as tender as all jerky. The flavor makes me think I'm chewing on a nice piece of left over pot roast. Now if I could only get it in the local stores! Excellent!

I've NEVER written a review immediately after receiving a product - this is a first. But this stuff is so good I wanted to share. Most store brand jerky has added sweetener, hence, CARBS. My wife and I enjoy a "not too strict" keto lifestyle, and although we eat a few carbs I see no need to have carbs in what should be an idea Keto snack food. Found this on Amazon and ordered. Arrived this afternoon. After dinner tonight I was feeling the need for a little something more, so I opened this and was blown away. Great flavor - the spice is just right. The texture is perfect - a little bit chewy but it falls apart in your mouth with the texture of a good roast beef. Really, really tasty and good. I'm a fan. Will be ordering more in some of the other flavors.

I've ordered many bags of this jerky at this point. It's a little like playing the lottery as to whether you get a bag that's good or a bag that's bad. The good bags have some fat in the meat and are quite flavorful. They have thicker cuts of meat that retain enough moisture that it's honestly my favorite jerky. The bad bags are positively hell. Completely dried out thin and brittle meat-cardboard pieces that make me want to just throw it away uneaten.

This thing is simply amazing! I love jerky treats, but one of the problems with the brands out there is that you get the jerky super processed with a lot of sugars in any form (sugar, maltodextrin, dextroses, corn syrups, can sugar, *insert here any other name*) with such a long list of ingredients that you keep wondering why it seems so difficult to get something more authentic. Ok, this is it. I'm not into keto diet, but doing my research I found keto carne and I was super glad to see just 3 ingredient: beef, water and spices. You will not find any chemicals, nitrates/nitrites or anything artificial here. The seasoning is just perfect, and if you like the spicy taste, this is for you, get ready to that kick, and the more you chew the more that flavor comes out. Also, the customer service is great. I love the brand, really.

Along with my wife, I've been doing the Keto diet this year in an effort to finally get myself back on track and down to a healthy weight. I've seen great results, but there are times when the diet is difficult because finding a snack that you can pack up and take with you isn't always easy. My wife saw an ad for Keto Carne knowing it combined keto-friendly/low carb with jerky, a snack I thoroughly enjoy. At first, I had my doubts this would come out any good, but I was quickly proven wrong. The original flavor jerkey is actually excellent, the flavor is a little peppery, a little savory, and just strong enough that you want more after each piece. I have not tried the spicy varitey, but hope to in the future. The only negatives that I can think of are that it is a bit drier than other jerky brand's I've had in the past, but not to the point where I don't want to eat it, and as a zero carb food it isn't sweet, but to me that isn't actually a problem.The one thing I hope this company can improve in the future is to make the packaging re-sealable, right now it is not, so if you plan on snacking on a back little by little over a long period, you will want to get a ziplock bag, or some other container to store it in.
