Serves its purpose in my home studio
No frills here. Just does what it says. Angles fairly, and if set up correctly, it will hold. Using for a snare that is used for sampling, so not much heavy use. I couldn't imagine this in a proper drum kit set up. But, you can get this for a GREAT price, and it holds up with a little patience. 4 stars for being what it is at this price.

Pretty nice
My first drum stand, excellent. It holds to my carpet pretty securely. I have a small 10 inch popcorn drum, though, and Iwish it adjusted to fit a smaller drum.

Light duty design, wobbles with Yamaha DD-65 electronic drum kit
I bought this to hold a Yamaha DD-65 electronic drum kit. This snare stand is not very robust, so it is wobbly with such a large wide load. A snare being hit directly from above would likely work better. But the DD-65 overhangs quite a bit, so the drum kit moves around too much to be useful in that configuration. I remedied this by adding some foam to the back of the DD-65 and using it while pressed against a desk drawer. This holds the e-drums steady enough for casual use. But it still moves around a bit, requiring me to snug it back every now and then with my left knee. This is not a heavy duty unit, so if you plan to bang away it may not be a good choice.

Vintage Looks but wobbly and short (even for a drum set)
I bought this to finish putting together my practice set (mesh heads and low volume cymbals)It fits the look I was going for as the drum set Im building is an early 70's sparkle finish and this is the style stand that would have come with the set new; BUT the height of the stand is lacking, I have it adjusted to the max setting and this drum set is set up pretty low. Its definitely lacking in the stability section too.Honestly Id save the cost of this and scour craigslist for a higher quality one for the same price.

Good for the price.
This is a little light weight, but it worked alright for a practice pad. It can serve as a good entry level snare stand. I've had worse when I was starting out!

There is a place for this snare stand...
There is a place for this snare stand, it just may not be under your snare drum. The single braced legs make it wobbly, but if your like me and keeping costs low was essential ($30) and don't mind that the 2 loose swing arms can't be locked into position or that they don't seem to reach the same point, you may find a home for this. For me it holds up a midi drum pad which doesn't weigh very much and so it works for my needs however if you need something sturdy which actually works then I would skip this item.

Has its flaws
Defiantly a drumset snare stand. It's cheap and you can tell in quality. The bolt that hold and tilts the stand broke so now it's unusable
