Darice U0993-R Bold Solid Wood Letter, Capital R, 12 in

The letter "H" that I received was very well executed - clean cuts, smooth top finish, smooth beveled edges. The top grain of the wood was light color and unblemished. Very good..However, the sizes are slightly off - the height of my "H" letter was = 12 inches high on the left leg and 12-3/16 inches high on the right leg. This required lots of sanding on my part to get this inside a 12 inch high shadowbox..They do not mention the width of any letter, so be careful if you are gong to use these in spaces where the width of the project has close tolerances..For the record, the width of my "H" letter was exactly 9-1/8 inches. The Amazon illustration would have your mind believe the width was smaller than that..Anyway, this is a nice wood letter, strong, clean wood... and they are made in, you guessed it, China.

I bought the letters E,L,I,A, and S. To spell my sons name on a wall for his room. The letters are bigger then what I expected, a very noticeable size. Some letters were bigger and wider then others, but once I put them up I felt that it wasn’t that noticeable. The letters are thick but do not stand up. And are smooth enough to paint. I used acrylic paint on them and command strips to hold them up on his wall.

I bought 10 letters: A, C, E, H, I, L, O, R, and two T's. The C is about 12.25 inches tall while the rest seemed consistently 12 inches tall. However, each letter varies greatly in width. The O is super wide. Ridiculously so. Some of the other letters are overly wide as well. Fine if you're only using one letter but when spelling a word it looks really awkward. Also, the edges are really rough and require a lot of sanding before painting or you get a really cheap finish. But with a lot of prep work and paint, these turned out ok. And they seem sturdy. Trying to move past the wide to narrow range between letters.The project I was doing required 12 in letters specifically. Otherwise I would have gone to Michael's and purchased their 13 inch letters that cost the same, or less with their frequent coupons, don't require so much prep work, and have consistent sizing.Photos attached to show awkward sizing.

I am so happy I found these! I am so used to buying them in store but with covid have resorted to online everything like most people. I was nervous buying these on here because I am that person who stands there for like 15 mins in the stores going thru every letter making sure I get the one who looks the best. But...these letters were in great condition. Will definitely buy from here again! Thank you!

It’s a great size and nice thickness but mine had several scuffs and a large chip on the front of the P.

Came in great condition, loved the price as well, but it's thin and not flat on the bottom, so it can't stand up. It doesn't have a groove or hook on the back to hang on the wall either. Still a great buy! I took a photo next to a sharpie for a size reference visual; and also the finished product of my crafting!

I ordered several letters to paint from a bunch of different companies and this one was by far the best quality and the cheapest! I will definitely be ordering my letters from them in the future!!
