The Authorized King James translation does not need any endorsement from me. It has stood the test of time (despite efforts from nay-sayers). I won't talk about text basis and all that here, because this review isn't for the translation, per se, but the binding and overall usability of this particular edition of the KJV.With that said, Thomas Nelson has done a fantastic job with the binding and layout of this Bible. The 2K Denmark Comfort Print in 12.5 point is extremely readable. To be able to have a personal carry sized Bible with large font that is all I could ask for.The Bible will hold up to use. It is an extremely well bound, hard cover book. As I said above, it is about the size of the average "personal size" Bible. Whereas most personal size Bibles have fonts of 9.5 or smaller, the 12.5 point font in a Bible this size is generous.This is just the text of Scripture. No book introductions, no cross references, no subheadings, no maps, and no evangelical "plan of salvation". It is a two column, verse by verse layout. No frills means no distractions. This is the type of Vible one can just sit and read.A word abou the red letters: I am not the biggest fan of red letter Bibles, usually. The red print in this edition is very easy on the eyes. It blends in nicely with the black text. It's actually almost maroon in color. It's wonderful.In short, if you are like me and like your Bible to be as uncluttered as possible, or, if you just like having extras on hand, this is an excellent choice. This will likely end up being my take along Bible wherever I go.Wonderful edition.

No review is needed for the actual translation as it stands apart as being the best and most pure. However, I felt it necessary to review this pew Bible to let others know that this printing of the KJB is not the pure Cambridge edition. Hence, I will be looking elsewhere and trying a different publisher for a pew Bible for our church. I do appreciate its affordability and very readable font size and I will keep the copy I bought for my children, however, for long time use, I would think one would want to find a pure 1611 Cambridge printing.

Its a good nightstand bible or to sit on your coffee table, It works great for reference or occasional reading. I wouldn't recommend this for your daily reading, the pages are pretty thin and they will tear easily. But it works great for the purpose I got it for, If your on a budget this would work fine. The binding feels strong and the cover is solid, just the pages are a little thin. All around a good Bible though.
