This plastic is so versatile
I ordered one package and then I ordered another. My project is to insulate a portable garage as affordable as possible. What I like about the product.1. It is folded and not rolled so if you want to cut a 12' x Length, it is easy to do and store the rest until you think of another project you could use it for.2. Heavy duty 6 mil though very clear to staple to studs. Yes... staples even the ceiling, it holds the plastic up.3. Delivery was on time and in a real box..so no damage.

Served the intended purpose perfectly
This went over a “titan squash tunnel” in my garden to extend the growing season for a cooler than average November. I reinforced the edge with a layer of duct tape before pinning it to the ground with 6” garden staples, then draped it over the tunnel before trimming a little excess on the second side. Again reinforced edge with duct tape & tapped the garden staples in to secure. Also bought some stainless steel clamps to secure around the frame and it held up to some strong November gusts. Probably got an extra month of harvest from my sugar peas (zone 6b, nighttime temps falling to high 20’s, low 30’s). Yes, it would be cheaper just to buy some peas, but very fun to serve fresh, never frozen, carrots & sugar peas from the garden for Thanksgiving meal. It was easy to work with, and sturdy enough not to shred in the wind. Will use again next spring.

Thick and transparent
The thickness on this seems spot on. It feels heavy and durable while retaining heat, moisture and allowing sunlight through. It’s pretty thick and easy to work with. Exactly what you need for a greenhouse cover!

Very sturdy!
This is good quality plastic for your hoop house. Even after the metal clips I purchased didn't hold up and the plastic blew off, no holes, no tears, nothing. I'll get many years out of this!

Excellent clarity, extremely tough for harsh winters
I’ve put off reviewing this greenhouse plastic since I received it at the end of July during the height of the hot season, yet today while setting up one of my winter gardens tried it out for the first time (see pictures). Although I had to take this greenhouse plastic off after fitting my newest A-frame hybrid structures this morning, I was still very impressed and got a feel for what it’s like to even temporarily install it.After years of using other various types of greenhouse plastic film for winter gardening, I was really impressed with how clear this Promore plastic sheeting is in comparison to other brands. For the first time I can clearly see my tubs of root vegetables, greens, and herbs through this super-tough plastic, whereas other brands that I have used in the past are “frosted” rather than clear so it’s hard to make out how your plants are really doing. Promore says their greenhouse plastic is clear, and I can confirm that yes, this product is transparent and easily seen through. This also means more sunlight will get through to our plants during the long months of limited sunshine.Note that it is not necessary to actually have a greenhouse at all to successfully use quality plastic sheeting like this for growing vegetables in the dead of winter. If you don’t have a greenhouse (we don’t have one either), you can still build simple yet sturdy frames to hold this plastic over buckets or tubs or even raised beds of winter-hardy produce. Just be sure to make your frames tall enough so any excessive rain, snow, or ice will slide right off the plastic without sagging and potentially crushing your plants. We are especially worried this year after hearing the Farmer’s Almanac long term forecast for our area, which makes it likely that we’ll be dealing with snow and possibly ice storms again this winter…. the few times that’s happened before since we’ve lived here in Zone 6b meant not being able to leave our homestead for many weeks at a time. Even though it’s still very hot out this September, we’re therefore scrambling to set up our winter gardens. This super-clear plastic is just the ticket for not needing regular trips to the grocery store for all our vegetables this winter, a great cost savings too during this period of high inflation.Even if you aren’t sure about how to set up a winter garden without a greenhouse, give this Promore greenhouse plastic a try while growing your first 5 gallon buckets of salad greens, spinach, Swiss chard, kale, and collards — winter gardens even in buckets are the way I first tried gardening with great success since weeds and insects aren’t a problem in winter. First time that I tried bucket-gardening, we ended up eating more salads in the dead of winter with just 12 five-gallon buckets than we ever did in summer! Five stars for this super-clear, super-tough Promore greenhouse plastic.AN UPDATE: as of five days ago, within days of our first freeze of the winter season, one of our large ~7'x7' ancient windows inside our 1970s-era farmhouse suddenly popped two sliding windows right out of their frames. We were afraid this would happen but last year's estimate to replace the whole window amounted to $3,000. So... I raced out and retrieved this clear greenhouse plastic from the garden, pre-stained some 2x4s and furring strips to match our interior window molding, and used this greenhouse plastic to line the window immediately inside the glass and then cut a second piece to fit 4" away from the first piece using the 2x4s to pin everything in tightly. Yes, it was indeed a "hillbilly" fix for sure but in this emergency situation this greenhouse plastic certainly came to our rescue. Just in time for bringing in our citrus and hibiscus trees before temperatures drop down into the twenties next week. Yes, that big window must be professionally replaced eventually... but our current budget requires that we wait until at least next year. Inflation is eating us alive right now, I'm just very glad that this clear plastic came to our rescue with an affordable temporary solution.Big surprise too: there's still a lot of this greenhouse plastic left to cover at least one of our outdoor winter garden frames!

A good find.
I was trying to solarize my garden soil, but I learned it was best to use clear plastic sheeting rather than the black lawn tarps I have been using for landscaping for years.I searched for quick solutions and found that most of the plastic sheeting made for landscaping was way too expensive for my needs. Either that, or each sheet was too short and I'd have to buy multiple sets.I decided to try and save clear plastic and weld it together with an iron. I was desperate. Plastic 4 mil garbage bags were my next choice. Still, the cost and the effort needed to get them and use them was too much for me.Thankfully, this item showed up on my radar right before I was about to order some. This is tougher than the lawn sheeting I had previously. From experience, I know it will last long, even in this heat. It's thicker than I'm used to, but it is clear.Let me tell you something about clear. I have had a difficult time weeding out many products due to false claims of being clear. Check the reviews before you purchase. If someone needs clear and it's not, they'll let you know.I needed clear for my purposes and this is indeed clear. It is perfect for solarization. And it's a great price.Bottom line: Would I order again? Yes. I would. I probably will now that I know where to find it. Would I gift? I don't know anyone who I could gift it to. But, if there was a need, yes. I find this would make an excellent tool in any household.
