Sturdy and attractive.
I was concerned it would be sort of wobbly after reading other reviews, but I made sure to tighten all the nuts and bolts pretty securely, and the bed doesn't wobble a bit. There were no scratches or dents, the finish is a beautiful dark browny-bronze, and I love the look of it. It's great quality for the relatively low price.Another reviewer was right about the amount of time it takes to take out of the box. That was probably half the battle for me, trying to do it myself. The assembly isn't complicated, as long as you make sure you're using the right size screw on the right step of the instructions (there are a couple different sizes included for different purposes, and I didn't pay attention on the first step). I thought I'd be a strong independent woman and put the whole thing together myself. Turns out I'm not as strong as I thought. Some of the bolts were really tough to tighten, and certain pieces had to be held up at the same time as something was being screwed in, and I had to have my sister help me. I'd say as long as you have a helper, no matter your DIY expertise level or amount of strength, between the two of you, you'll be fine.Anyway, the bed is beautiful and sturdy, and I love it.

Nice-Looks like photo
The bed arrived in two different packages: first, the side rails arrived on day one and on day two the headboard and footboard came. Packaging was decent-parts are insulated with Styrofoam and everything is wrapped in plastic wrap too.Assembly is easy. It took me around thirty minutes. You definitely want to have a helper close by just to hold the pieces up as you attach screws and bolts. The instructions are a couple of pages of easy to follow illustrations showing which screws, washers, etc. attach to each location. The tools included are one Allen wrench and one flimsy little wrench you will use to tighten up the hex nuts. The Allen wrench works fine, but I actually used my socket wrench on the hex nuts to tighten them properly. The wrench that comes in the set is really too small to work with I think. The bed itself looks very nice. The finish is a matte dark brown that reminds me a lot of some of the products with the color description "rubbed bronze" that Lowe's carries. Just run a search on their site for that phrase and the first couple results are HarborBreeze fans--their pics look pretty spot on what this color looks like. I've been using it for two weeks now and so far quality seems good. All the fasteners are still tight, it also comes with three metal slats and three feet down the center that help support it on the floor.

This is a LOVELY bed!
Oh, I absolutely LOVE my new bed! I got the queen size and put it together this afternoon. Did it by myself and didn't have any problems, though I do recommend a drill with attachments if you have one - saves the wrists a LOT of work. But don't fret if you don't have a drill, you can still put this together with the included tools. I found all the holes were present and aligned; I love that each of the three bed rails going crosswise each has a support leg under it since that's important for stability and long term support. I had hoped the color would be a touch more rusty or mottled but I knew from reading reviews not to expect that. The color is a pretty, solid matte brownish-black. My bed is not wobbly, slanted or squeaky at all, though I'm sorry others may have had issues (and I'm a rather large woman). I've only ever had a headboard, not a complete bed with headboard AND footboard so now I feel like a real grownup (though I'm 55!). I really love this bed, am pleased with the price that I paid, and can't wait to sleep in it tonight!

Extremely disappointed and distraught
I've never written a review before, but I had to on this one. I'm not one to complain at all, but seeing as all the other reviews said the same thing and were raving about this bed, makes me believe that they were all just trying boost the rating to get people to want this bed. First of all, it took forever to put together. It was not "very easy to assemble". But I can let that slide. The bed itself from afar is really pretty, and I so wish that I loved this bed. But the minute I put the two headboards and slats together, making sure that all was tight and set, the bed kept wobbling and was not straight. I thought maybe if I tightened everything, this would help a bit. I had to slide the bed to put it against my wall... as I was doing this, the bed started slanting. It is absolutely not sturdy. When i put my mattresses on to see if the weight would fix this problem, I climbed on the bed, hardly making any movements, and I felt as though I were on a boat. It was literally rocking back and forth. I climbed off the bed and held onto the headboard to see if it would rock while not on it and gave it a little pull in my direction, and it literally rocks back and forth and looks like it's going to fall apart. I will definitely be contacting the store/amazon to get my money back.

MY BEST AMAZON PURCHASE THUS FAR!
I had really wanted to purchase this bed based on the photo!! It was EXACTLY what I had in mind for our guest bedroom in our cabin vacation home. The pricing was so affordable too!! I read through the majority of feedbacks and reviews and felt mixed. I decided with the free shipping and the "affordability" I'd take the chance. SO GLA D I DID!! We had a handyman assemble the bed and he wouldn't even take $ because he said it was so easy and quick. Contrary to what I'd read, the bed frame is STURDY AND SOLID!! The color is just as the photo shows and frankly it is one of my best AMAZON purchases!! I purchased a beautiful Pottery Barn bedding set and attached a photo :)
