The quick and easy Roloc™ TR screw-type attachment system works in tandem with Roloc™ TR disc pads to make fast work of changing discs. Alumina zirconia fractures frequently to continually produce sharp points and deliver a faster cut-rate than aluminum oxide. A synthetic mineral, it was developed for heavy stock removal and high pressure grinding. Fiber discs are rigid discs that deliver a fast cut for grinding and weld removal, and come in a range of sizes to correspond to large or small welds. Fiber discs also work well for blending (creating a smooth surface after weld removal) and provide a consistent finish over the workpiece. 3M™ Roloc™ TR quick change discs have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly attach to a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that operators can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.
