Good for DIY Transmission Fluid Change
I just did my first DIY transmission fluid change in my 2012 Maxima (60k miles). This oil has worked out well, economically, as opposed to getting it done at the dealership. I would still be on the lookout for further savings for the future as I have been advised that Idemitsu & Castrol branded CVT fluids (that are officially branded as alternatives for OEM NS2 fluid) are available for about half or a third of the Nissan brand costs, respectively. Had I known before purchasing and using this fluid, I would have gone for one of those. But I am not going to take off stars for this like others have for its price. It is still a 5 stars purchase, as my expectations were met, as I was looking to save on dealership prices. One dealership quoted over $250 for the job. So I called another dealership, and they said since I missed the 35k and 45k miles intervals, I would be better off letting the CVT be and never change out the fluid. That was some advice considering most 7th gen Maximas normally get their first CVT fluid change at 60k miles, based on all my research on Maxima forums. I told them that and they said, yes 60k is the recommended interval, but in their experience it has been better to do it every 30k to 35k miles. Since I was at 60k miles with the original fluid, their advice was to not do anything. They wouldn't even give me an appointment. That was a bizarre call. I researched all of that stuff again and asked questions on Maxima forums and I was convinced that this is something I should do AND also not pay those dealerships (especially, the 2nd one) a dime. So I bought the CVT fluid and replaced it myself. I notice that the car is less hesitant, and more ready to take on acceleration tasks than before. There's a clear tangible benefit to have performed this service.

Worth the savings
Instead paying 27.99 a bottle at the dealership I decided to try this. So far it has performed just like the dealership kind. It does say it manufactured by Nissan. I have an 09 sentra know for the cvt transmission problems. It has 270k miles and so far this is helping it to go further.

As Ordered
Received the item earlier than expected. It appear to be the genuine product but time will tell if the fluid works appropriately.

Nissan OEM CVT-2 Transmission Fluid Makes a Difference
After trying non-OEM CVT-2 Transmission Fluid with disappointing results - tried OEM Nissan - much improved shifting and rpm maintenance especially up steep, long hills in hot weather. The gripping power of this fluid makes a difference - trust me.

2010 Rogue SL with almost 150k miles
Transmission was starting to slip at low speeds. Drained the old fluid and was horrified to see how dark and full of metal shavings it was. Poured in this new fluid and it was almost instantly better. Runs like butter now! Any Nissan dealership that tells you not to ever change the transmission fluid on these CVT units is not to be trusted.
