Cousin Jewelry Basics Head Pin/Eye Pin, Copper, 135-Piece

Very nice headpins in hard to find copper. I can only give four stars because they seem to have been antiqued with a splattered mist of black paint, some of which came off on my hands (easily washed off of hands).

They work great and I'll buy more when I need them.

The pins are mostly discolored and rusty, or whatever copper does. Not a happy customer.

These are nice, bright (reddish) copper colored headpins and eye pins. The finish is quite lovely. To keep it that way, don't wear these directly against your skin (which is unlikely to happen with headpins and eyepins anyway) and keep them from getting wet. (There are also tons of sites offering advice on cleaning copper online and it is worth taking a look at those.)I don't make jewelry in this color often, so I like that this set has a couple of different styles of finding rather than a whole bunch of the same thing. Everything in my package was in good shape without any catastrophic bends or anything like that. It is easy to trim these to the desired length with a pair of good flush cutters, easy to round the ends with roundnose pliers, etc.Anyway, the color is good and the finish matches my other copper tone findings in this price range. I do not know if these are pure copper or copper plated, and I'm not really equipped to find out. I am OK with whatever the composition is if I get the look I want, and I am getting the look I want with these and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg, so I'm happy. If I run out, I will buy the same item again.

Please review posted pictures. I ordered three packages of the copper assorted head pins. Every single head pin in all three packages was clearly not copper, all pins had black splotches the full length of each pin, not a single one was completely covered in copper. Not sure if these were painted with copper colored paint or what but do not buy as you will not be able to make any jewelry with these, especially if you sell your jewelry. The picture showing the single package has a close up section, all the pins in all three packages looked like this close up. One bad package is an accident, three bad packages with the same problem is a quality control issue.

First batch received had what appeared to be chipped copper enamel. Replacement sent. Same dang thang! Really limits what I can do with em! Definitely not worth the money! Only good thing is i was able to keep the original shipment … but that’s more of … nothing. :(

Head and eye pins are supposed to be smooth, but for some reason, these were a bad batch I’m thinking? I ordered a replacement in the hopes that it was just a bad batch of wire because the silver colored pins I bought previously seem fine.
