Well designed and built. Surprisingly small!
Excellent little device. Some issues on Linux, however these are resolved by running a Linux distribution with an up to date kernel.I've had success with Ubuntu 16.10 on my XPS 13 9360.

Compact and Brilliant
I was between a surface book and a new XPS 13 9560 for my new business notebook. This little device swung me over to get the Dell as I wanted something compact but when visiting customer sites for Demi's and presentations I need ports and this device is perfect rather than carrying around multiple adapters or a huge docking station. It works perfectly and makes the xps a versatile compact powerhouse

Pros: Light and small, works out of the box for my new 2016 MacBook Pro with touch bar 15". Has everything I needed, USB3.0, ethernet connector (for some weird database which absolutely need local connection at work place), VGA connector for work place presentation, and HDMI (though not used much as I have been enjoying the retina screen).Cons: If I closed the lid with the DA200 connected with ethernet, sometimes it froze my nMBP and forced a system failure with reboot when I opened the lid again. The problem seemed to happen with or without the power cable connection on either side. Since the MacOS 10.12.3 update the problem seemed to have gone. Will wait and see if it comes back. Also the USB3 seemed to heat up a little when in use.

Failed after a year
On appearance this looks a well built, good quality product and certainly a very compact unit. Used about 2 hours a month in a Dell XPS-13 for quick presentations and occasional Ethernet, otherwise has always been kept in its own pocket of my laptop bag. The cable looks to have an obvious weak point where it wraps itself into the storage spot and even after an hour, it was usually very hot to the touch. Tried a colleagues in my laptop, all works and mine is dead in his. Like other reviewers here, I don't seem to be alone with this unit unfortunately. Not the usual Dell quality to be fair and for +£50, I would get a slightly larger device for less money. Disappointed as mine is out of warranty by a month or two.

Great for 12 months, then dead
This worked great, but died after 12 months. Can't really tell what part of it failed, but it did get pretty hot when in use, so I suspect it either over-heated or the cable has broken somewhere inside the rubber housing. Not really the longevity I expected from the product, so won't be re-purchasing.

Working fantasticly on a Matebook X Pro
Bought mainly to add an ethernet connection to a Matebook X Pro and has worked perfectly with no issues. The cable could be longer - it's a shame it couldn't have wrapped around to the other side for a bit more flexibility but it doesn't effect use all that badly.

A bit expensive but great
Works great, small design fits in any pocket and feels durable. Also its original from dell, so no compatibility issues
