This is the TRUE VALUE FOR DOSH and good service too!!!
What can you say about GiffGaff? That is a successful start-up in a market where there are huge "barriers to entry" like that of networks....they have a deal with the O2 infrastructure but their proposition is:PROs - Excellent value for money: e.g. for £10 you can have 1 GB of data, 500 minutes to UK phones, and free to Giff to Gaff...unlimited txts....PROs - they can send you SIM for free in the post with £5 already in it.PROs - their approach is very informal, clever end friendly.HALF/HALF - this depends from your view of the world: for me is a con, as I am not the type of person that approach people asking them if they want to switch to GiffGaff....BUT is you are the salesman type they will provide an incentive of £10 for each person you give a SIM to....and £5 to the person that gets it from you....they starting by sending you the first SIM throgh the post to give away....then they will send you 100 if you only ask...so it is a novel business model but isn't mandatory, so...Almost CONs - I do not know how these guys' coverage will be, for now is cool....but to what press says is not as extended as EE or other mainstream networks...BUT all in all I can really recommend this operator, in fact I am thinking of making it my number 1 number, as at the moment I only use it on Wileyfox Dual SIM phone for the data... come on... £7.50 for 1 GB.PS - GiffGaff works its payments on CALENDAR MONTH!!! The others, as I am Vodafone customer, they charge you for 4 weeks, not 1 month...and this is a PLUS!

GiffGaff - The very BEST 'Pay as you go' SIM & service Provider
Re: GiffGaff - The very BEST 'Pay as you go' SIM & service ProviderI have been with the 3 pay network, for just over a year because I found ( 3 ) The cheapest service Provider.GUESS WHAT NEW SERVICE PROVIDER HAS ARRIVED TO TAKE: the Crown & the Thrown, from ( 3 ) NETWORK???Yes! GiffGaff, who uses the O2 service via Piggy Back, which is very common these days, for any other companies too.too.! - GiffGaff seemed to be very low cost, in DATA, INTERNET, TEXT & TALK MINS to any other Mobile, or Landlines.for £7.50 they give you "1GB DATA & internet."ONLY"for £10 they give you "500 TALK Mins", To any "Network or Landline" "Plus+ Unlimited TEXTS", "1GB off DATA & internet."for £20 they give you "1200 TALK Mins", To any "Network or Landline" "Plus+ Unlimited TEXTS", "Unlimited DATA & internet."FREE TO GIFFGAFF CALLS TO-ANYONE ELSE WITH A GIFFGAFF HANDSET - ITS ALL GOOD-BECAUSE ITS ALL FREE. BUT YOU MUST KEEP ONLY £10 IN YOUR ACCOUNT.I find the reception is excellent and internet speeds on 3G FANTASTIC. Comes with both FREE standard SIM and MICRO SIM card.I was happy to get my Standard SIM and MICRO SIM, in the post the very next day. "Covers both 3G and 2G."

Good value, but poor rural service
A good value SIM card if you are looking for a no contract deal for your mobile.I use ours in a 4G+ LTE router - as a home internet backup solution to unreliable BT Broadband. I can almost instantly bung on credit or a "bundle" and away we go.Giffgaff runs on the O2 network - which is the best for us as regards download speeds. Obviously, that is dependent on geography and you may find other providers offer better reception.Bought to fit into my Amatrac car tracker. These use only 2g and Giffgaff use O2 which still have 2g and will continue to until 2025.So far, so good! My tracker is costing about £1 per month to use!Sim was purchased as “Unlimited data, texts and calls” . This is NOT TRUE. First of all you need to activate the sim and then you are given an option page: goodybags (monthly packages ranging in price) OR, PAy as you go. Seeing how the sim was supposed to be “unlimited” I chose PAYG, obviously. I added £20 credit, to claim the £5 free as advertised. I believed this credit would last for at least a month, possibly longer, but the site’s explanation left a lot to be desired. I spent several hours trying to set up the mi-fi unit in which I was to use the sim, then many more hours trying to link my phone/iPad to it. Two days later.... no credit!! No connection. What a rip-off. Trades description issue for sure, as this is false advertising and misleading information. Now looking elsewhere for a better option.

Instant spam and poor reception
In retirement and with no interest in anything other than making phone calls and sending an occasional text, a simple £10 of PAYG credit will easily last me a year. I have an O2 SIM that serves an assistance alarm but need a second SIM to use as a phone. I lost my old phone and needed a new SIM/number, I opted for GiffGaffIn order to activate the SIM you need to create an online account. I wanted a simple PAYG scheme but still had to register a valid payment card for the account to keep - I paid the minimum £10 and got the bonus £5 credit. At 19:56 I had a welcome eMail from GiffGaff, at 19:58 a congratulations eMail for activating the SIM also at 19:58 I had a text from GiffGaff welcoming me.At 20:02 I received a text from 'CAVAL' offering me construction jobs in Birmingham and I received them daily until I blocked the number. The next day, the eMail that I had used to register the account started to receive various eMails about job vacancies in the construction industry. I have never been in the construction industry and I am nowhere near Birmingham ! GiffGaff support gave me advice on how to block callers which helped but did not really address the issue. To check your credit balance you're supposed to dial *100# but that just flashes a message 'USSD code running' and then 'MMI complete' without mentioning a balance; a call to customer support gets you a "oh, you can see your balance on your online dashboard" .I have a dual SIM phone and appreciating that GiffGaff is part of the O2 network; the exact same phone, in the exact same position and at the exact same time shows 1 bar reception for GiffGaff and 4 bars for O2 !
