Well worth the upgrade - if you have a 4k TV
I upgraded from a regular PS4 a few weeks ago, here are my thoughts:*Compared to a standard PS4 the improvements on patched games are noticeable, providing you have a 4k TV. The Witcher 3, Rocket league and Ratchet and Clank all looked superb when I tested them, and I was a particularly taken with Wipeout: Omega Collection. I found the HDR, 4k, 60fps image quite dazzling. It already looked great on a standard PS4; but it looks even better on a Pro.*Although the console will not always produce a 'true 4k' image on all of its games, the hybrid 'checker-board' approach employed by Sony still provides a sharper, cleaner image than a standard HD screen.*The process of moving all of your data from your old PS4 is streamlined and simple, but please bear in mind that you need a Ethernet lead to complete the transfer. It took me about 4 hours, but I did have about 700gb to move across.*I also tested the console on a standard HD TV. On this, I didn't notice that *much* of an improvement over a standard PS4, even on patched games. On non-patched games, I activated the boost mode, but did not find a significant improvement either. Granted, my sample size was not huge, for example Star Wars Battlefront already has an excellent frame rate on a standard PS4, so improvements from boost mode are unlikely to be noticed. You might notice more improvements with different games, especially ones with lower frame rates (I'm looking at you, Witcher 3), though.*The console also has an updated controller (from the original PS4), the main difference being the light is now visible from the front, a small but handy improvement. Conclusion - If you have or are intending to upgrade to a 4k TV, PS PRO should be considered a definite purchase. Although games which utilised the console's increased horse power were thin on the ground at first, Sony has mandated all upcoming games to have some kind of PS PRO benefit going forward, and many older games have been patched. The library of games is therefore growing by the month. However, if you don't have a 4k screen the benefit of a PS Pro becomes less clear. When I transferred all my data over and plugged the new console into my standard HD tv, it took a while for me to see any visual improvements when compared to a standard console, and the improvements I did see were marginal. Are those improvements worth all the effort and cost of an upgrade (or extra £100 over a standard PS4)? To my mind, probably not.TLDR - If you have or will be getting a 4k TV, then you should definitely consider buying a PSPRO. If you don't have a 4k TV and aren't likely to upgrade any time soon, I would stick with your current system or buy the PS4 Slim instead. Please hit ‘like’ if you found this review useful!

Would recommend the Pro over the slim
Great console for playing games. I would recommend over the ps4 slim or origional for both the increased storage performance. The external drive support that has been added propably makes the increased storage worthless to most people but I buy all of my games digitally and like to keep all of the games I am playing on device storage and store mini-games and completed games on my external drive so I can hop on and replay missions etc. so the increased storage is useful. the 4k upscaling and enhanced performance is well worth the extra £70 that I paid compared to the slim version.

Ps4 pro godness
Great console I was sceptical at first but I got a great deal on black Friday so I treated my partner to one as a early Christmas present and she loved it,it's bigger than the gen one ps4 with what's under the hood and all,you get the new dual shock controller as standard looks amazing on a 4k tv,hears a hint go onto settings and put boost mode on it loads and installs the games alot faster than the ps4 slim but saying that it is a beast of a console and is worth the upgrade

Damn noisy!
Playing this on a 4K OLED and graphics are good but not sure I'm particularly blown away. Then again, I may be expecting too much and I've not got a regular PS4 or Xbox One to compare against. Also, this thing can be ridiculously loud when the fans kick in, which is pretty often. Can't think it was meant to be like this. That said, games are good, interface is slick and the Dualshock 4 is the best controller I've used although admittedly I've not used any of the premium controllers out there.

Damaged box caused concern.
Another damaged package/box from Amazon.I was planning on opening this on Christmas morning but I was forced to remove this from it's box and connect it up to check that it worked OK.The outer Amazon delivery box was unmarked and in good condition but the actual PS4 box inside had badly bashed corners and parts of it really looked in a bit of a sorry, scuffed state. I thought the unit itself might be damaged so felt forced to open it prematurely. The unit isn't damaged and seems to work OK and is now back in it's box waiting for Christmas.I should not have been put in that situation where I was fearful of content damage.Presentation is important. This failed.

Good but with flaws :(
I recently tried to upgrade to the pro, mainly for better VR experience. Transferring data was relatively simple, but the issues I had were to do with Bluetooth connectivity of controllers. Bluetooth would last for 10-15 minutes and then kick out, leaving me having to reset the console and start again with wired...for vr this is useless, same thing happened with aim controller. I have gone back to my old PS4 with no issues (both in same position). From what I did play VR is improved with draw distances and textures , annoying that you have to remove it to get 4K on a normal game as it does not pass through the vr system. From what I have read this is an internal antenna issue effecting some pro’s.

Awesome Console!
Console:- The PS4 Pro is Awesome! You need to have a 4K HDR TV and preferably OLED to appreciate the stunning graphics of the 4K games. The console is a compact size. The menu and settings are easy to navigate. Media Player (downloadable) is very useful to see and play your photos and videos on the bigger screen TV. However, one thing that Sony left out from this console, was that unlike the Xbox One X, the BluRay drive does not play UHD 4K movies, only HD 1080 movies. A disappointing omission from Sony. So I had to purchase a separate 4K BluRay player. FIFA 18:- I'm not really a great football fan, but FIFA 18 has great attention to detail in 4K, and the game play is very realistic, football fans will love this.
