Convenient and Versatile Flash Drive for Multiple Devices
I bought the SanDisk 128GB Ultra Dual Drive Flash Drive to make file transfers easier between my various devices, which use both USB Type-C and Type-A connectors. I was tired of losing separate adapters and wanted a more streamlined solution for transferring files quickly between my MacBook Pro and work computer. Pros: • Dual connectors (USB-C and USB-A) make it compatible with a wide range of devices. • Quick and easy file transfers, no need for Dropbox or emailing files to myself. • Slider feature hides connectors when not in use, reducing the risk of damage. • Ample storage for PDFs, images, and small files. Cons: • Doesn’t have a way to attach it to keys, which could be convenient for portability. • Storage may not be enough for large video or music files. Overall, it’s a practical and reliable tool for transferring files across different devices without the hassle of adapters.

Must have during the current transition between the USB's
I purchased this USB to go with my new MacBook Pro 15" 2017 due to the fact the Mac only has USB C ports, and its come in extremely handy since. The tech world is moving towards USB C with many new devices offering USB C in the mix of ports, or in apples case, the only port. This little USB therefore comes in super handy as it allows you to plug in to any standard USB/USB C device and means you only need to cary one USB with you, The USB itself is pretty well built, it has a simple design with a plastic/metal housing, a small slider that you use to push either the regular USB or the USB C out and a small hole to attach a lanyard onto. A small, but welcomed feature is that when you retract the USB the slider sits in the centre and stays there, unlike another SanDisk dual USB drive I have used in the past where the slider won't lock into place and as a result the USB's are always sliding out and exposing themselves. Due to the metal body the USB can become extremely hot when transferring allot of data, however from what I can tell this does not seem to effect the performance, you may just want to be careful of this when in use. I can't remember what format the USB came in but I quickly re-formatted it to ExFAT so it would work well on both my Mac and PC, this is really easy to do on windows (Cant speak for Mac as I've never formatted a drive on my Mac, I assume it would be just as easy however) and once done means you can transfer the USB between Mac and PC without issue. The new MacBook Pro's have very limited storage unless your willing to pay a fortune for an upgrade, therefore this is a great way to cut down on costs with a new Mac as you can get a lower storage model and then one of these to store the things you'll use less often. I personally keep backups of my projects on the USB as well as some of my Steam games, the USB is fast enough to be able to download games to it and play them directly off the USB so you can really save some space by storing your games on here. Overall the USB is a must have for new MacBook owners and would do just fine if you intend to use it as a regular USB stick, a future proof investment as more things will begin to move to USB C over the years so this should last you a while!

Impressive performance and versatile connectivity!
I recently purchased the SanDisk Ultra 128 GB Dual Type-C USB 3.1 Flash Drive in Silver and I am extremely satisfied with its performance and versatility. This flash drive has quickly become an essential tool in my digital life! Firstly, the speed of this flash drive is impressive. With USB 3.1 technology, transferring large files or backing up data is a breeze. I was able to transfer a 4GB video file in just a matter of seconds! Whether it's movies, music, or documents, this flash drive handles it all without any lag or slowdowns. The dual Type-C and USB 3.1 connectors are a game-changer. I can easily connect it to my MacBook Pro or any other USB Type-C-enabled device. No more hassle of carrying multiple flash drives or adapters. It's a true plug-and-play experience, and the compatibility is excellent. The build quality of the flash drive is top-notch. The sleek silver design gives it a premium look and feels durable in hand. The retractable design protects the connectors when not in use, ensuring they stay safe from damage. I appreciate this thoughtful feature as it adds to the overall longevity of the product. In terms of storage capacity, the 128 GB is more than sufficient for my needs. It allows me to store a large number of files, photos, and even HD videos. Plus, the SanDisk SecureAccess software provides an added layer of security for my sensitive data, giving me peace of mind. Overall, the SanDisk Ultra 128 GB Dual Type-C USB 3.1 Flash Drive is a fantastic product that offers excellent performance and convenience. It's a reliable companion for anyone who needs to transfer or store data quickly and effortlessly. Highly recommended!

Does Exactly What It's Supposed To Do
SanDisk make some of the better USB drives out there, I have seen plenty of cheaper models at this price but have had some poor experiences. Data loss being one of them due to the drives deciding to randomly corrupt themselves after a few uses. Packaging is uneventful. Basically cardboard with a bit of plastic. Have to give credit where it's due. They have obviously made the effort to cut down the quanitity of plastic used to house the USB drive. Drive has a dual set up for USB-C and USB-A giving you connection on both ends. You can hook it up to your phone to easily transfer data back and forth. I like keeping a back up of my pictures and the likes, this is what the drive is intended for as a fail safe policy should anything go wrong. Performance is pretty good, not blazingly fast but acceptable as shown in the images attached. The average speed was around 30.8 MB/S and this head steady over the course of the transfer. You can get faster but again this drive for me is just what I needed as it's mostly smaller files I am backing up to it and the odd video here and there. Overall, it does exactly what it claims to do. It's good value and it backs up my data.

Great bit of kit for file transfers
We were having problems with my wife's phone not pairing with her PC via Bluetooth so looking for an alternative for file transfer when we came across 2 in 1 thumb drives. Bought a couple of these, choosing Sandisk because it's a known brand that I have used before. Fast file transfer and ideal for the jobs we wanted them for.

Good drive, but poor mechanical build for switching connectors
It's a good drive functionally, but the slider to switch between USB-A/USB-C is not nearly sturdy enough. I can't plug in the device with usb-c without applying lot of force to stop the insertion retracting the USB-C connector. Often that doesn't even help, I have to half-plug it, then hold the slider down and pull the chasis up to get it to insert. Very inconvenient.
