Excellent -receiving all UK Freeview and radio channels perfectly.
I live in a medium signal area, basically I need an amplified aerial to get a consistent picture.I use another more expensive brand for my living room, and needed one for my bedroom.I had a good look at as many aerials as possible, and decided on this one.I'm glad I did, because I now have an excellent picture, and thought my smaller tv couldn't get all of the UK Freeview channels, but thanks to this one I can see it does! It's smaller than my other one, which is great,as that one is very prominent. It also has a gain/on-off dial on it to amplify the signal, which is great. So,overall, easy to use, well built, excellent reception, and great quality item -as a normally skeptical buyer,I highly recommend it.

Good antenna to catch channels
I bought it for my brother in law when he moved to new flat. He can catch most freeview channels and he is very happy. Price is resonable and it is nice and small.

Not terrible but not great
Whilst checking the website would suggest I would need a less powerful aerial from the 1byone range in actual fact I need a more powerful one as I am unable to get every channel. I have since purchased a cheaper aerial from a different manufacturer and it out lasses this one in every way.

A Good Product...
I've put the aerial to use in the kitchen and have installed it inside a spare kitchen cupboard directly above the tv with the triangular loop facing in the same direction as my outside aerial.Set-up was straightforward; plug in the supplied 12v power adapter to the unit and the wall, switch the aerial on (blue LED illuminates) and plug the aerial cable into the TV (in my case I did not need to retune....).I then fine tuned the quality of the reception by tilting and rotating the UHF antenna (the black, triangular hoop) slightly to get the best picture. In my case I obtained a similar number of channels to my lounge tv connected to an outside aerial with superb picture quality and stability (The gain of the aerial can be adjusted with the rotary switch; I found mid-way was fine in my case). I did not use the two telescopic aerials (for FM reception), as the aerial is sitting inside my cupboard, as stated earlier, so the FM aerials needed to be fully retracted. My ONLY criticism of the product is that the aerial lead is only 1.2 metres long and the power lead is approx 1.5 metres long, so without extension leads the TV has to sit near to the aerial and similarly, the aerial has to sit near to a mains socket. In my case everything just fitted as my kitchen tv is placed alongside mains sockets and I drilled a hole through the cupboard base for the tv leads. So, all in all a good product, well worth its price. An update to my review of the 16th October - I accidentally caught one of the vhf aerials on my kitchen curtain blinds; the aerial promptly broke off - SO BEWARE - the vhf aerials are made of VERY thin metal, very disappointing! ; however the UHF part of the aerial is still working OK.Report abuse | Permalink

Great for music.
Our old house, nestled between much taller buildings, has always had problems with TV and radio reception: freeview dodgy, freesat OK, VHF for my hi-fi only possible with a VHF roof aerial. I wanted to reorganise the room that houses my hi-fi system, but to do so would mean foregoing the roof aerial. I tried the ribbon aerial that came with ny Denon tuner/amp but that struggled with DAB and was useless with VHF. I had never tried an amplified indoor aerial and after considerable research decided to give this model a go - little to lose at this price! I was somewhat disconcerted when it arrived to see that - despite its description on Amazon - it was described on the enclosed booklet as a TV aerial. With some trepidation I plugged it into my tuner/amp (set for Radio 3) and switched on. At low setting, nothing, but as I turned the dial to increase the amplification I suddenly got a full and interference-free sound - every bit as good, if not better, than I had been getting from my VHF roof aeial. Bliss! DAB reception is equally good - but who wants DAB when FM is available? I can now listen to the proms in their full glory!. Unlike the other reviewers I have not tried it with my TV, but as no one mentions using it with a tuner/amp I thought this review might help any others in a similar situation to mine.

Excellent, small and cheap aerial.
I hadn't bought from 1byone before, so took a chance based on the good reviews. Very glad I did, as this turned out to be an excellent product. Far better than my previous amplified aerial that this was bought to replace. Rarely even have to use the built in signal amplifier now, but still useful on some channels.

Rubbish
Absolute Rubbish, constantly loosing signal and breaking the picture up as your your trying to watch tv , ITV is unwatchable and i know the price is good but if u want to waste a few quid , i had a standard metal loop aerial before this which received every channel fine except the HD channels so I thought this was a good upgrade haha how wrong i was , i have actually lost count how many times i have tuned my tv hoping to actually be able to watch something! On top of this if your planning on putting this i a bedroom you best use an eye mask to sleep because theres a really annoying blue light that is constantly lighting up the room at night so u have to keep switching this on and off every time u want to either sleep or try to watch tv 👎

Received loud and clear
Pretty good, after some faffing about I got it to pick up all the channels, be patient and move it about, mines on the floor weirdly enough, at first I couldn't get any and was about too give up, I put it on the floor to dis-connect it and all of a sudden I got Dave, so flicked through and got all the HD channels, so yeah it works.
