Got Windows 8, general home or student PC user? Get this. Don't buy anything else!
I purchased this for my partner as she had invested in a new PC running Windows 8. At the time I thought it looked good value and was an attractive design, although I was not familiar with the brand. It duly arrived in the post and was well packaged. Instructions were clear and logical. Duly set it up, plugged it all in and slipped the driver disc in. All straight forward.Turns out this is an impressive product and works hand in hand with Windows 8 so seamlessly it almost makes me jealous I am still running W7 on my own PC. Very responsive and picture quality is excellent. Looks a very very clever and modern device and is almost attractive enough to be considered a piece of furniture if you wanted to create a modern minimalist work space. As with other reviewers I found I had to adjust the monitor down slightly because I felt the brightness was slightly excessive. The monitor feels solid and well made, and the device itself runs with virtually no-heat output so gives you some confidence it is well made. I would say anyone worried a 23 inch screen might be too large and invade their desk I have found it makes using Windows and word or your browser etc as a daily driver much much more pleasant and functional as you can now truly run with more than one window up at a time (W8 seems to like presenting screens in two halves as well but no doubt more experienced users could make it work a whole lot better).Only downside is that the speakers built into the device, whilst functional, do sound a bit empty and are obviously not up to the specification and sound quality that you might expect from a good pair of headphones or surround sound speakers, but they are perfectly adequate for watching the news or youtube, for example, but the heavy itunes user might be less than enthusiastic about them. Would probably work well for gaming but I'd have to use a proper headset for the sound. I'd be sorely tempted to get a 27 inch version if they made one.

Great value for money
I think this is one of my favourite buys of 2015. The image quality is excellent and the touch screen very responsive. Worked out of the box with Windows 10. Would have got a 5 if the speakers were better

The screen itself is actually very good; vibrant clear colours
When this screen arrived it was making a rattling sound. I had ignored all the negative reviews about it shorting peoples things out, and decided what the heck. The screen itself is actually very good; vibrant clear colours, and the touch screen worked well for about 2 days. I noticed by chance that even when the touchscreen was off, and i had a second monitor attached, it would still register touches. I ran a multimeter over the USB and to no surprise it was actually leaking power from the monitor to the usb hub. This is not a safe product. Speakers were truly awful for saying how much real estate they take up.However the wonderful folks at Amazon processed my return in the same day, and I ordered a Viewsonic 23" touchscreen instead, which was about 35 pounds more but worth every penny. It's listed as reduced from £400+, and i would stongly recommend it over this fire hazard of a monitor. If you've looked at this monitor, just buy the 23" multitouch Viewsonic instead.TL;DR: Avoid this like the plague, get the viewsonic described above, and you will get better speakers, and an amazing stand.

Poor volume, and very tinny - just about usable ...
Using a Lenovo i7 pc, with Windows 8.1, the touch screen monitor performs well, with exception of the sound which is frankly awful. Poor volume, and very tinny - just about usable for youtube speech, but not always when the recording quality is also weak. Music, well forget it.Good value for a basic monitor that functions,at a reasonable price. The handbook is a sheet of paper with miniscule writing and diagrams that need a magnifying glass - one of the worst examples I have ever seen, sad that so much clever design goes into the kit, but they can't be bothered to spend a few pounds more to show users their monitor in a good light. All in all a good cheap monitor that does a job, having said that I would not buy it again, but would spend more for a mainstream monitor. You get what you pay for, as always!

Beware...
Unfortunately I got one yesterday that decided to blow my USB ports on the motherboard, thus I have now had to buy a brand new motherboard And CPU (not from Amazon) because I cannot get a board for my current 1155.It also managed to render my Anker keyboard and mouse useless, I have had to purchase another of those too.Amazon said they cannot be held responsible for "collateral damage", I could understand that comment if it was a compatibility problem but you really don't think a friggin monitor and cable would gonna blow your PC up.I just wished I read further on the reviews and spotted the other people who had this happen to them

Truly awesome for the price.
I am so impressed with this monitor. For the price it is awesome. The touch response, refresh rate, picture quality etc are excellent. The sound is a bit tinny though. Although it is unfair to mention it's shortfalls, which are design issues only really. It needs to be said. There is no USB pass through & no headphone jack, but I can get creative with a USB hub, I suppose. Otherwise you are required to plug ear/headphones into the PC as your only option. OK if you're fairly close to the PC. The power cord is also a bit short, approx 1.5m. But an extension cord will sort that. There is no setup with windows 8.1. It's true plug & play. You do need to be standing/sitting pretty much in front of it in order to have a clear picture, but as it's a touchscreen, I suppose that would be the point. I love the size, video looks excellent & the Win8 apps work great with this. When one considers the price, £150 inc delivery, that's the average price of a small bog standard monitor. All in all, for the price I'm thrilled with this monitor.
