Capacity:32GB | Color:Yellow/Black The sleek design features a sliding USB connector, which smoothly extends from the drive at the push of a thumb. The capless mechanical design eliminates the hassle of lost drive caps. The USB connector can be made ready for use with just one hand, for greater convenience when speed is a must.

Unreliable
I own maybe 20 of these. Use them to archive things like Windows and Linux installers and live operating systems. Had 5 or 6 fail in use. Drive goes blank and in a Windows machine constantly loops on "please insert..."ADATA has a tool that will salvage the drive and make it usable again but all data is lost. I'd like to trust these but can't. My archives based on these are probably not reliable. Will try some other brand and give these away. Very disappointing.

Great Flash Drive for The Price But With Caveats
First of all, I don't want this review to be entirely about what is wrong with this flash drive so I will start on the positives. For the price, this flash drive works well, very well. While I personally did not provide read and write speeds unlike other reviewers, in day-to-day use, this flash drive is more than capable for normal tasks. Now, one disappointing aspect of this flash drive is that for some weird reason it cannot support booting from the USB. I tried booting my computer from various live USB images of various Linux distributions but everytime I tried, I just got a black screen and I couldn't boot from the USB. I tried different flash drives and the other flash drives worked. I then concluded that the problem was not with my computer but rather the ADATA flash drive. It is not a serious deal-breaker since most of the ISO images from Linux distributions I use are less than 2 GB and my other flash drives can suffice. However, in cases where a Linux distribution ISO is more than 2 GB, the ADATA flash drive won't boot from the USB.Other than that minor issue (which most people would probably not use their flash drives for) this is a solid flash drive. Personally, I would recommend this only if a person doesn't want to use this ADATA flash drive as a live USB. Once again, other than the fact that it is cannot be used as a live USB in my case, it is a solid flash drive.

As fast as claimed, good value for money
This ADATA DashDrive may not be the fastest USB 3.0 drive out there, but according to speed tests using SpeedOut 0.5 and Check Flash 1.16, it is as fast as claimed in the specs (when plugged into a USB 3.0 connector):Read / Write41.52 / 18.41 (MB/s)The DashDrive's READ performance slows down significantly when inserted in USB 2.0 Port, but WRITE speeds remain about the same:Read / Write25.97 / 17.32 (MB/s)The numbers held up when I copied over 2GB of JPGs to DashDrive. The housing is all plastic, so it's not as sturdy as the extruded aluminum models out there. On the other hand, it's not nearly as expensive either. The capless design is a plus (no caps to lose). On the negative side, the plastic bar provided for a keyring is rather thin and delicate-looking.Bottom line for me is that the ADATA DashDrive UV128/16GB provides a good amount of storage, in a convenient capless package, that is reasonably fast, for not a lot of money. If you need a faster (but more expensive) flash drive, take a look at the Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0.

We have purchased numerous yellow flash drives in varying sizes ...
We have purchased numerous yellow flash drives in varying sizes. While we have been using Adata drives for quite some time without issue, over the last approximately six months, we have a large number of the yellow flash drives fail. They may work initially, but after a short period of time, the drive becomes inaccessible. It cannot even be reformatted at that point. The failure rate is so high that we no longer use these to provide data to clients. I haven't paid attention to the specific size that has been failing, however, it is the yellow series.

Dont Last
Was formatted as XFAT, and I could not put files of the size I needed on the drive.Reformatted as NTFS.Connected to an I7 based PC I built in 2009, which I believe has USB2 ports, I got a sustained read rate of 30MB/s moving two video files of 50G and 5G. The writing rate for similar sized files was almost exactly the same.If there is such a thing as a tactile aesthetic, the slider really doesn't meet my wishes. I would prefer an easy slide back and forth with some sign of an engagement at either end of travel other than hitting the stops. But, in their defense it works just fine and at extend it stays there. If you are going to work the slide a lot you may want to consider another brand as there is a noticeable friction in its movement. Just think of a plastic toy and you already have 90% of the experience.I don't know why but the metal insertion part is much cooler after transfers relative to other flash drives I use.No comments on durability because I haven't had it long and I carry my drives in a pouch where they are quite well protected from any physical force. I connect them at the start of the work day and remove them at the end. That's all.I chose 4 stars because of the price point vs the functionality and transfer speed. I will certainly consider this brand in the future if it continues to work.I lowered this review to three stars because I bought two of them, and one failed within a month of use. It wouldn't be recognized at all. I tried it in various machines, even removed the PCB from its casing and hit little parts of it with freeze spray to see if I could get it to work long enough to recover the data. Nothing. Didnt want to send it in for warranty because if it ever did work again it has personal information on it. So I threw it away. I hope the other one keeps working. So far it does.I lowered this review to 1 star! The other one failed. Wont be buying any "Adata" branded products going forward.

Einfacher, Preiswerter USB Stick. 💾👨💻
