VallejoAcrylic Paint, Glaze Medium, 0.57 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

I'm using this with several brands of acrylic paint on miniatures and models.I used to think this was a silly product. "What, um, just use water!?" Nope. Adding a bit of this medium to your glaze makes it much less fiddly to apply and work with. It's a must if you're doing really thin glazes. It lets you water the paint down as much as you want, then add a bit of this medium to bring back some body and workability.This has definitely improved the quality of my work. Recommended.

I saw some poor reviews from people who seemed to think this was for pottery glazing, or some other purpose. This is intended to allow you to apply very thin, translucent layers of acrylic paint to a miniature. It allows you to get very saturated colors without obscuring details by applying thick coats of paint. It's very good for that purpose. I'll definitely be buying quite a bir more of it!

I can't say enough about this product! I have been using this to thin my GW paints 1/1 and it has two excellent benefits.1. It acts as a mild retarder. I used to have issue painting the eyes on miniatures as the tiny amounts of white or black would dry on the brush before I could place it. This stuff helps keep the paint moist long enough to get the pain on the miniature!2. It works a bit better than water when thinning your paints for transparent blending, as it's a little bit thicker than water and gives you a bit more control over your thinned paint.

I'm still trying to perfect painting faces on 1/35 scale figures, and this product is definitely helpful. The glaze slows down the drying time for acrylic paints, giving you more time to apply and blend colors. Much more effective than using straight thinner. I'm happy with the results thus far, and I'm glad I made this purchase.

Works well. Do not use too much with your color and don't let it pool. Could get grainy and cloudy. Thin well. Does dry with a bit of a gloss but most mini painters 'dull coat' that away anyway. I do find this item useful for glazes and just adding blank medium for whatever reason. I do think it's a good thing to have in your kit. Minus one star is for price and the slight gloss only. Other than that it's good.

Used to use water for my glazes but I needed something that would allow me to glaze lighter colors without it becoming chalky. Vallejo Glaze Medium is perfect for that. And it overall makes all colors and glazes more smooth.

Took a while to get this, given the COVID circumstances. Well worth the wait. Pay attention to the instructions/ cautions about using it - I paint miniature soldiers - and it will serve you well.

This stuff is really great, keeps the paint workable for a long time and allows great glazing.

I use this medium with the vallejo inks for making washes for my Warhammer minis, works great, just two things to keep in mind, when the wash dries some areas will be glossy dues to the finish of the inks so a matt varnish will need to be applied after the wash dries. Two, washes made with this medium take a long time to try so when making your washes so at most use 2:1 ratio of of medium to ink, it's best to let the dry overnight but it makes for some great homebrew washes currently using it for my Khorne Daemon and am very happy with the result.

A good glaze medium, shake before using.

Great for thinning paint to use as a glaze on miniatures.
