Nice, simple design. Easy to clean as no groves or crevices. Only thing to note is that will probably need to use furniture oil regularly to keep them in good condition.

These are a lovely set of real wood table mats. The dark wood is of good quality and nicely finished, being sanded and smooth to the touch yet not overly varnished or oiled, resulting in a feel and texture that is just right. The shapes and swirls of the grain and the natural colouring within in each place mat is beautiful (and of course being real wood, different in each). And considering you get four of these for the price, I think that they offer very good value for money. Each wooden square is about 9'' x 9'' and the bundle of four comes tied with a thin leather binding which is wrapped and knotted around it. This too makes a nice simple way of presenting these items if you're considering them as a gift. The dark wood looks sophisticated and luxurious compared to lighter woods (in my opinion) and all in all, this is a set of great quality items at an affordable price. I received these mats today and my first thoughts are that they are value for money and generally a nice looking product. However the finish is a little rough around the edges and although sealed, not sufficiently in my opinion. I intend investing a little time in sanding them a little and putting on a further coat or two of satin polyurethane varnish. They may well last a long time in their present state as similar mats have done that we have owned previously. Our previously owned mats had more or less the same amount of sealing but they did take on stains after a while. I would have preferred to pay a little more for a superior finish. I am happy enough with them however and intend buying a further set.

Really pleased with these tablemats which look very good on the table with the matching coasters. They have a lovely satin finish and are not too large which means that the table does not look overcrowded with a set of them on it. In a world where many items are manufactured to look identical and may be made of syntetic material it's great to see a natural product with such character and class.

Warped after a short time so don't sit well on the table.

Decent enough quality but not the same colour as the image displayed here, much lighter, multitonal, slightly disappointed

Bought these mats for use in my living room.Because they were not cheap I expected a high quality. I was really disappointed ...they are warped and chipped and definitely not worth the £30 they cost.
