This used to be a paper back series
If you love the old paper back series then this is perfect. I honestly like the paper backs better, but they were more expensive and this looks great, so as a gift - which was why I bought it - it works great. If you're a Bruce Lee fan and you unwrap your present to see a nicely bound version of Bruce Lee's Fighting Method then you have to be happy. Even if you have the old versions. This is one of those books that you put on a coffee table or a shelf and every man who visits your home will pick it up. I trust you know what the book is about because of the title and the fact that you're reading this. But I will just say that it is a pretty comprehensive - even if slightly dated - look at fighting and it is filled with sketches and things like that. It's a good book and if you ask me it couldn't hurt to own this. I know my future kids will go into ninja training hen they eventually find this book on my shelf.

Book on Bruce Lees Scientific Way of Streetfighting.
If your interested in Bruce Lee or you practise in any style of Martial Arts then you will love reading this book. Great photos of Bruce Lee training/ in his Martial Art of Jeet Kune Do. Very good illustrations and descriptions of Bruce s Punching/ Striking/ Parrying / Kicking / and Self Defence moves. If you cant get to a Jeet Kune Do class than I would say reading this book is the next best thing. At least it will help give you an insite into what they call his Scientific way of Streetfighting. IN MY OPNION THE BEST BRUCE LEE BOOK AVAILABLE.

Great edition!
I originally had the four separate paperback volumes, but sadly, they walked off after I loaned them out. I highly recommend grabbing the Complete Hardback Edition—it’s a beautiful volume to own, combining all the original material (Basic Training, Skill in Techniques, Advanced Techniques, and Self-Defence).

The master
Brilliant book, I've trained in martial arts for quite a few years and yet I always find something to trigger my mind in the works of Bruce Lee. I own his books on "Gung fu; The philosopical art of self defense", "The tao of Jeet Kune Do" and "Bruce Lee's commentaries on the martial way". Of those 3 books, this is the only book he ACTUALLY put together on Jeet Kune Do when he was alive.... just a shame he died before it was released. This book is brillaint, full of information and offers detailed explanations on both the technique and the psychological application behind them. For any aspiring martial artists out there, get this book regardless of what martial art you train in. Jeet Kune Do will open your mind.

Excellent compendium for all Bruce Lee fans and Martial Artists
Very clear photos. Nice collection of the various volumes and writings, which were like Bruce's answer to the Karate books at the time (Bruce had all of them in his personal library but they were still very unrealistic, the Self Defense or Best Karate series from Nakayama and Donn Draeger come to mind) Bu comparison, Bruce's photos has an edge or dyanmism to them. As these were captured by high-speed cameras at the time with the intention of publishing a Jeet Kune Do manual... They contrast to the stiff static or blurry Martial Art photos of the time. The content looks Alive and full of passion. One could almost mistake these to have been done only in recent years in the high quality restorations given to the already excellent Photos. It is also great to see a young Guro Dan Inosanto (you might recognise his daughter in the recent Star Wars Ahsoka TV series) in the photos. No Dan, no Nunchuku Bruce. In short: Worthy for you to have this along with its partner (theory) in the Tao of Jeet Kune Do. Get it before it becomes too rare or out of "sane" price range.

Informative and beautifully presented.
Bruce lee's Fighting method (all volumes) has always been on my purchase list for my personal Library, However it doesn't get any better than having all four volumes in one comprehensive guide. The Hardback edition is beautifully presented both in a display manner and on quality of content. This book offers step-by-step reading accompanied by clear photographs that illustrate brilliantly each movement. I have no chance of being instructed in the art of "Jeet Kune Do in my neck of the woods" so this is a must have substitute, and after all, It is the closest you will get from the late great Bruce Lee himself.

It Takes time
Never been a Bruce Lee fan when I was a kid. remember passing the local cinema showing his original films during the 70's but never really made the connection. Only made some contact after joining a karate club that I noticed Bruce Lee is respectfully mentioned on a regular basis. Standing in a Dojo twice a week most weeks and people with decades of training and fighting time refer to this man. So I bought this book and its been an interesting read. I can see my karate style techniques within the book. The fitness requires, stretching techniques. I'm looking forward to continue reading the book again.

EXCELLENT
I bought the original books years ago and loved them. In these pages you can see Bruce's development of jeet kun do it is a shame he died when he did as it would have been great to see where he developed his way next. This hardback edition is glorious if a little inconvenient compared to the paperbacks you could toss into your training bag for reference etc. As a collectors edition for £25 it would make a fantastic present for any one interested in the martial arts and true fighting.
