Received code via email about 1 hour after purchase. Code has been accepted on Google play.

Currently Google isn't accepting the code I got sent . Which was sent promptly. I have never had an issue before with any of these codes until now... and I'm basically £100 in limbo, with no information or help to resolve this

Can confirm it does seem to take about 3-4 hours to receive an email with the redeem code and I did get the error message stating that I'd need to fill out a Google form when I tried to purchase something using the gift balance in an app. However what I did was try to do the payment again and it was successful in using the gift balance. I did 2 transactions and the second did not pop up with the error message as before. If that does not work then try clicking on the Google form link then canceling and then trying to pay with the gift balance again. Going to give 4 stars as while I could use my balance it does take a long time to get the code, it's possible it might not work if you can't get around the Google verification and you're unable to contact Amazon through your order if you require assistance.

This type of code never works simply, when i put code in google want all details of purchase and proof of purchase. You have to send this then wait for google to assess and unlock the code. There is another gift card that you send as a gift and you have to put the email you want it to go to, use that one because, for me, they work instantly.
