If your macbook battery has died, you'll have probably asked for quotes which will no doubt be super expensive. Doing it yourself is much cheaper, and if you're not much of a DIY electronics person, then it will take you 3 hours max if you're doing everything nice and slowly and carefully.Simply whip up a nice long youtube video, I'd recommend one where they do all the motions and you can follow along with every step and pause and play as you need. I'd recommend watching a quick summary video first so you have an idea of the total process first though. Removing the old battery is by far the most difficult part as it's really stuck on. BE AWARE that batteries can be dangerous. Do NOT simply tug as hard as you can to remove the old battery, because any damage to the battery can potentially cause it to set on fire or explode. I was a little bit careless at one point and the old battery started smoking. You must use the included cards to scrape away at the adhesive.This battery slots in nicely and has stickers for keeping the battery in place. The included screwdrivers are all that you will need, so it's a nice little set that has everything to get you going!Overall, I think it's a very good kit and is much cheaper than getting a shop to change the battery for you. Would highly recommend!

I ordered this battery for my husbands MacBook which is a 12”.This battery comes with step by step very detailed instructions on how to disassemble and install, then reassemble your MacBook. All the tools necessary are provided.The replacement battery itself has smart chips for overheat protection and prevents it from overcharge and discharge.It has passed a series of safety certifications, such as CE, FCC and RoHS.I did this with my husband who is pretty good at this sort of thing, but I felt a little daunted by it.Our MacBook battery was starting to deplete, we were charging it more often and that charge wouldn’t last as long.To be fair the whole thing probably took an hour and a half on the kitchen table, and that was with me probably slowing things down asking questions.My big question was does data get deleted if you remove the battery and the answer is no. Data is stored in either your SSD or hard drive. These storage devices are non-volatile, the data does not get erased when the power to them is removed.This is a great way to breathe some new life into a MacBook especially when your machine is still reliable and has just suffered from heavy usage.In my opinion a faulty battery alone probably isn't reason enough to replace your computer.I would ask yourself if the battery is your only issue with your MacBook.If it's an older model, can you still update all of the applications you use? Does the screen still work? Do newer models have features you'd like to have or more memory.I think that if you're otherwise happy with your MacBook it makes more sense to replace the battery, and I’m very glad we went ahead with this.The battery is good value for money and definitely money saving as it would be a lot more to have this done for you.I’m very happy with it.

This 12" Macbook Retina Li-ion Polymer battery replacement kit comes with a (4,800mAh) 36.28Wh capacity and runs on 7.56V. Prior to the installation, I did watch a few y0utube videos to gain some understanding on the various approaches to perform this task.Things I liked:- includes all the tools (screwdrivers) to complete the task- new battery fit like a glove- includes a 47 step pictorial guide pamphletThings I didn't like:- smaller capacity compared to original 2017 model (41.4Wh, 5,474mAh)- approx 14% smaller capacity than original (2017 model)Overall, the process of carefully removing the entire old batteries took around 15-20minutes. The fitting of the new batteries took another 5minutes and putting the back cover was another 5minutes. The whole job was under half an hour but I used this opportunity to clean out all the dust. The result are amazing. It’s like have the laptop like it was on day one. Already I can see the difference in (longer) battery life... it;'s just a shame the capacity is 14% smaller than 2017 OEM battery.

It costs a fraction of Apple's price. It took me 45 minutes to complete the battery replacement. This is the second time for me to use this company's battery. The battery is safely packaged with tools. I will definitely recommend it to my friends.

Works fine. I recommend the following:1.installation is not easy. The provided instructions photos are not clear.2. The double adhesive tape is of poor quality. It does not stick the battery properly.

I have replaced the Macbook battery with this one, and have checked, and rechecked all the connections, however, this battery will not recharge once it is spent, I have gone through every troubleshooting steps to rest the SMC, etc, alas, to no avail.Contacted the seller, they are shipping a replacement, hopefully it works, will update review is all goes well!OK, I have installed the replacement (was shipped quickly) and the new one seems to be charging, and working, thanks to the seller for sending a replacement! So far happy with this experience!
