20yrs ago when starting my career - I was looking for a pragmatic guide like this. As a voracious reader of “business/leadership self help” I have picked up countless books that contained a proprietary blend of narrative and 12 “simple” steps.This book breaks that mold via topical 1-2 page sessions that are simple, fundamental, and holistic. The chapter list at the front of the book is useful as a topical index that will enable this book to be picked up/referenced many times over.A well written book that is a great resource for the young leader looking to build their skills and steward their career.Pick it up.

What a great read! I agree with other readers that this book is a great resource for younger professionals, but it's was a great refresher for those a little more seasoned. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

I liked that this book spoke about Appreciation and Faith and knowing my worth. They all connect. I have to appreciate the position I’m in to progress, have faith that my work ethic, experience and knowledge will help me to progress and knowing that I’m qualified for the position I’m aiming for. This is a must-read. Just as in sports, mastering the fundamentals is crucial for a successful career. Dr. Sheldon Dyer does an excellent job breaking down the importance of all aspects of your career, from personal branding and successful leadership to risk-taking and much more. I find myself revisiting different parts of Business Etiquette 101 on a consistent basis.

I wish I had something like this earlier. I love that the writer is writing from experience and not just an opinion. This book should be on every college curriculum. This is definitely a must read if you are just starting your career. But it is definitely not too late to read no matter where you are in your career development.
