A sturdy one piece chopping board.No fillings, no adhesives. Just pure wood block.Love itOthers on the market though may be made of wood but have joints/fillings etc which eventually will become part of your food.With this chopping board, I found what I was looking for.Totally recommended

On the first day of using the board it instantly caused knife lines on the surface (I used two different knives to test it out but assumed it was a natural thing to happen), on the second day of purchase I noticed a large 10 cm long crack at the edge which extended from the front to the back of the board; ants eventually entered the crack and it enlarged. Since I had already used the board a couple of times and there were visible knife marks I couldn’t exchange the product.Moral of the story: Beauty is not more important than quality. Lesson learned!PS: Also the board has special instructions to keep clean, can’t use regular soap. A whole of ado over nothing.
