Hi, there is no information related to total pieces from the packaging. This is part # 1208, 1971 Ford Ranger.

Q: how much difference between 1:25 and 1:24 scale?

Modelers have been swapping 1/24 and 1/25 model parts for decades. The scale's are so close, you can't really tell the difference 99% of the time. 1/24 is a popular scale everywhere else in the world, while 1/25 scale is almost exclusive to the U.S. This Moebius truck is a good kit, with modern tooling, so it's a little easier to build than say, a 50 year old designed kit.

Q: What glue and paint is recommended?

I use Testors 3507 Liquid Cement for Plastic exclusively. It is much better than their regular plastic model cement. A little goes a very long way. A single 1 ounce bottle can do dozens of 1/25 scale models. Acrylic or enamel paints work.

Q: Is this kit a long wheel base or a short wheel base?

Short wheel base. Reason I bought it.
