Ferplast Cayman 80 Professional Aquarium, 81.5 x 36 x 52.5 cm, 120 Liter, Black

A good enough starter cold water tank  Ferplast Cayman 40 Classic Aquarium, 21 Liter  but I have since replaced the pump with  Interpet Water Filter - PF Mini  and ditched the plastic plants. About to remove the gravel and replace with a substrate and sand so I can put some nice oxygenating plants in.No problems with the light and the lid opens up on a hinge for easy access and the feeding port is simple and makes feeding easy. The instructions for a novice are non existent, setting up the original pump was trial and error and I was convinced there was a problem filtering (there wasn't) but once I changed I was much happier and am also now better informed in it's use - not faulty but now a spare.Like others, the first I got was damaged in transit (cracked) and compared to the packaging of another tank I got from Amazon, I can see it happening alot. It is however a well made tank, easy to maintain as a cold water tank, the included pump and light are on separate power supplies and the light can be switched on via a rocker switch on the lid.

I had searched on line for an Aquarium which was low maintenance and came with a good lighting and filtration system. This Cayman 60 Professional fitted the bill but unfortunately I could not get one delivered from Amazon which was not smashed. After the first one got delivered I told them that the replacement would have to be better packed to arrive in one piece. This advice was ignored and the replacement arrived smashed. Again I got on the telephone and reiterated that I wanted the Aquarium but packaging was a real issue, basically a glass box placed inside a cardboard box!! When the third arrived smashed again I was right on the telephone. To be fair their customer service was excellent, I got a refund within 3 days and was told just to dispose of the third damaged aquarium.Not much you can do with an Aquarium which has one side smashed so it went to the skip!! I eventually tracked one on line from another supplier, cheaper and packed in a polystyrene lined box and arrived in tip top condition first time round!!

I bought this item because of the reviews however after a year I wish i hadn’t. The light in my tank won’t work, after buying 2 new bulbs costing me £24 I found it still wouldn’t work. The problem with this aquarium the heating, the filter and the lights are wired up and run through the hood of the aquarium therefore you can’t replace anything. I am now looking for a replacement tank with everything separate so it can be replaced.

Opening the box the hood was covered in dust of broken glass, on inspection the whole top corner was busted and the liner bag filled with glass dust and small shards of glass. TERRIBLE.Amazon have arranged a full refund and I have ordered a competitors aquarium product instead for my Black Molly Fry.

First item came broken, second one aswell. I'm so disappointed. It's not Amazon fault, but Ferplast fault. Between the tank and the box there is just a very thin bag. No polystyrene. Of course during the journey, without glass protection, the item could be broken easily. Now I have to return two items! I will never again buy something from this company with no common sense.

Well made and sturdy. Also had no problems with the delivery, arrived in one piece. The lights are strong and promote a healthy plants growth.I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars because it has some small bugs:- The lid has almost no ventilation openings and the heat from the lights can overheat the aquarium in summer if you are not careful.- The internal filter has an odd design. Too many compartments that are not really necessary but are difficult to clean. You can mount it only on a few predefined spots on the tank and it is also difficult to remove when the tank is full.- And there are no openings in the lid if you want to use an external filter instead of the supplied one.

Great tank for the price easy to set up hope it will look great when its up and running cant wait

have just had new fish tank yet again this is my second one now both of them the glass was broken I am not very happy

Cet aquaruim est en fonction depuis seulement 9 mois, j'ai déjà du changer la pompe et maintenant c'est le programmateur de la lampe qui se bloque. Comment puis-je faire jouer la garantie?merci

J'ai acheter cet aquarium pour remplacer mon ancien du même modèle que mon ancien.Heureusement que j'avais encore l'ancien car la prise électrique est aux normes des États Unis et non pas Française; alors il faut savoir bricoler.Et puis autres points négatifs , le filtre est bien plus petit avec le chauffage. Le tout moins puissant pour un aquarium qui contient 75 litres.Bref! 100€ de plus avec des prestations dégradées. Quel dommage à ce prix là
