The smart switch market is flooded with Chinese knockoffs and several Indian companies selling the same thing by rebranding them. None of them work as per specification or live up to expectation. However, SmartEEFI's smart node switch product is a home grown made in India that is of extremely high quality and works exactly as described. It has all the functions you can possibly hope for from such a product. The great thing about the scheduler is that once you set your schedule for automation in the app, the instructions are stored in the device itself and not on some remote server. Hence you do not need Wifi connection at the scheduled time when the "Turn On/Off" function is supposed to execute. No other product in the market has this awesome functionality. Another brilliant feature is that you can operate your appliance both from the app and also manually via the existing physical switch. This makes it way more useful than the smart socket which is widely available in the market. Of course this node switch needs a bit of wiring and not simple plug and play. But it's just 5 min work. I will recommend this product to everyone who is looking for a bit of convenience in their life. I am using it to automatically turn on the geyser at the early hours of morning before I wake up. This gives a big head start to my morning routine. I will update the review if the product stops working or there is some malfunction down the line.

Item arrived with good packaging and instruction details. Required wiring was already present which helped a lot to start with the installation. Help / guide videos links are readily available along with the product guide, can be searched from YouTube as well. Installation is easy once you get the understanding of what needs to be done. It can be combined with regular switch connection too i.e., few switches with regular connection and few connected to smart switch. WiFi configuration is pretty easy & connects well in first attempt itself. App works smooth, creation of new rooms etc is simple and assigning / moving the module/switches is a breeze. Integration with Alexa is simple too, however we can control only ON & OFF, status check etc not supported yet. Scheduling works as expected, and the manual switch control co-exits. Its a highly recommended product if you are looking for automation, and also to mention the support team are reliable and helpful in troubleshooting. Overall a good product, works good so far.

I have been using the retrofit smart switch product for a couple of years now in my living room and last year I have installed those for all rooms. It has been working flawlessly until now. These are very easy to install and connect and once ready, control is a breeze through mobile app or alexa. Only thing is that the switch should have a good access to the wi fi router and there shouldn’t be too much barrier like walls and so on. Interior planning should be done accordingly for the hidden switches.

It's working very well, installation and integration into Alexa or Google home is little time consuming - you have to note down the product Ids before installing somewhere for integrating to Alexa or any app, or else you have to open the switch board again to view them. This is also not working sometimes when Internet is down but wifi is still there. This could've been better if this can be connected to 2 way switches also, for example, --- If you are urgently going to bathroom and forgot to switch on the light which is usually kept outside of the bathroom, you have to come back again for this. ---- You can't call out "Alexa" or "Ok, Google" in the middle of urgent bathroom. It will be better if there is also a switch for the same light inside the bathroom, for that smarteefi needs to be able to support 2-way switches. ---- I don't think it's very difficult to integrate this feature but they are under the assumption that this is not needed but I clearly saw in many usecases, it will be useful.

After a lot of research (online mostly youtube and amazon users reviews) I decided to go smarteefi 5 node switch since it looked a value for money preposition and was providing all the solutions that any other product be it smart switches or node based retrofit switches are offering. In most of the reviews I read on amazon, a lot of useres had faced issues with wifi pairig. Well after almost a months use I must say I am impreset with this brand. The wifi paring was as instant as we connect our phones with the wifi. Alexa intergartion is also like a childs play. The fact that you can individual operate each node and collectively as well if you have creater a group of the switches on the smarteefi app is amazing. Now I can turn on all the light switches of my living room at once buy just a command and also turn each and every bulb on or off one by one thru alexa. All thought the month I have been operating the switches through alexa only and it works like charm. I am planing to convert all the switching like this only since this one of most affordable option available in the market. The node just fitts well inside the switch board and the best part is you can operate theblightsbusing the switches on the board manually as well. I have been showing off since the last month every time we have someone over..lol. If you want to convert your traditional switchboards into smart ones I would say you need not to look any further just go for it. One last thing since I installed the node myself, its pretty easy to install if you follow the video they have on there app. You can find it on youtube as well. You will require additional wire for all the swtiches.
