Alpine SleepSoft Earplugs

Blocks out most of the noise, enough so that u can sleep anyways, such as downstairs television or street sounds. fairly comfortable, the bit that sticks out is elastic at the core of the bud so that when you lie on your side it can bend inwards meaning you hardly feel them when sleeping, has a nice tight vacuum fit so it stays in throughout the night, only had it fall out a few times. iv tried many earbuds and this is by far out performs them all in terms of noise reduction and comfort, it is not foam based, which is good cos i never got on well with the foams. overall well worth the money as it is reusable. it will wear and tear over time however this is my 2nd purchase the 1st set are now unusable after 1 years use.UPDATE 31st August 2011: PRODUCT HAS CHANGED SLIGHTLY.So my previous pair are now worn out, torn and unusable, i bought some more and a couple of things have changed.1) The PACKAGING, the little store away box it now comes in is much improved, making taking out / putting away the ear plug alot quicker and easier.2) The EAR PLUGS ARE MUCH SMALLER. At first when i saw them i though ohh nooo...however this is much better, the buds now fit deeper and tighter in the ear canal givng a good seal fit, the tube part which hold the noise cancelling stuff is shorter in lentgh so it doesnt stick out the ear, they never fall out anymore. However because of the tighter deeper fit they can be uncormtable slighlty after so many hours and is quite a relief to take them out in the morning, however i can live with this as the core purpose of cancelling noise is beter than ever.3) The PRICE, has come down making this even more value...buy them now for a good nights sleep.

I am a front/side sleeper so I need ear plugs that you really cant feel when your ear is on the pillow.PROS: I can say that these certainly worked for me. When inserted using the supplied adapter they have a very comfortable fit and block out nearly all ambient noise. You do have to make sure they are inserted correctly though otherwise they only partially block out noise.CONS: I've had 3 of these so far and 2/3 arrived with a damaged case. While this doesn't affect the plugs it does make storage awkward. I have found that these plugs have a life span of around 30 uses. The instructions say you can clean using lukewarm water, however I have found that doing this every day causes the membrane to thin and eventually the noises start to get through. I have found that simply wiping clean using a tissue if necessary and maybe rinsing once a week is a good way to prolong the life.Overall I would recommend these ear plugs for sleeping.

I have tried many earplugs to sleep in and read the reviews for these which were quite positive at the time so I thought Id give them a go!The earplugs have a wand type accessory to help you insert the earplugs, however i still found them difficult to insert, if you don't push them in enough you can still hear sounds, and if you push them in too far, it blocks out the noise but I found them painful to wear.After sleeping in them i found that they went deeper into the ear and when I removed them, they turned inside out on extraction which was even more painful.I then purchased some Howard Leight By Honeywell R-01680 these are fantastic! Block out the noise and are super-soft and great to sleep in!

Great ear plugs, I have had these for a couple of years now and well worth the money, don't buy any other make!! I am going to have to buy another pair now as there starting to fall apart!! My husband snores and when you have children you need a good night sleep don't you?! Easy to put in with a stick that makes sure there in safely and they come out easily, one thing though make sure you use the stick to put them in correctly or they fall out in the night!! They do fall out sometimes but the only problem when they do is finding the little things as there very small and they could be anywhere in your bed!! Wish they could glow in the dark!!! Perfect for a partner who snores or if your neighbours are having a party, or if your parter is watching t.v and keeps you awake!!!

I travel a lot - bought these to allow me to sleep on planes,trains etc .These earplugs claim to drown out ambient noise while allowing you to hear bell, alarms etc.The latter part of the statement i true- alarms are perfectly audible .....but then again so is everything else since these earplugs do not cut out any sound at all!Please check the veracity of any good reviews on this product carefully.[ASIN:B001APROVW Alpine Sleep Soft Earplugs]]

After weeks of being woken up thrice nightly by next door's screaming babies I started to feel like I was on the verge of mental breakdown. Believe me it is like sleeping next door to a couple of victims of horrific torture. I could take the nightly sleep deprivation no longer. It was either buy these earplugs or go on a destructive rampage, crushing everything and everyone in my path.The negative reviews here made me worry that these wouldn't curtail the noise enough. However, rest assured that these earplugs do the job and they do it well. At last I could sleep through the entire night, only ever waking when my bladder dictated.The only criticism I have is that they don't last long enough. After about two months of wearing them every night (and of course washing them with warm soapy water afterwards) they have become tatty and the material has stretched, meaning that the sound attenuating inserts now fall out very easily. The only solution is to either superglue them in, or buy some new ones. Hence only a 3-star review.Also be aware that although the 'stalk' is very short, it still sticks out of my ear so if you sleep on your side, the earplug may dig into your ear on that side.

Have been using these plugs for a few weeks now, I can honestly say they are very effective and a real godsend.... I have never slept so well in the mornings.... I am retired and enjoy my sleep in, after years off early starts. They are so comfortable and easy to wear.... They can be washed in warm soapy water which is a big plus... I have just ordered a 2nd pair.... I like to have a back up.
