Q: Are these sterile? I need to shave chest hair next to a hemodialysis central venous catheter.

They are not sterile. I would suggest consulting with HD center prior to using this product. Also, if you use alcohol scrub on the razor as well as your area of choice to shave, I believe it will be more effective in making sterilized. But ask your center prior to utilizing this technique. hope this helps

Q: Can you use wet or dry?

I shave with these dry. I open the razor and put a paper towel over the sink. It catches most of the stuff. HOWEVER, I would recommend not shaving with this if you are all dressed up and ready to go out! You will get bits of beard hair all over yourself. Good for when you wake up just before a shower
