AVOID
One would think that a hardware company would want to sell more hardware. But, by making something that can only communicate with a phone app with limited functionality, they are losing sales and making people mad. So, please note that this thing will open the door for you to use their terrible app and not much more. Save your cash and get a raspberry pi and you can do a lot more for just a bit more money. What a waste of cash for something that would have been amazing for any 3D printer owner. I hope they fix this someday so you can actually connect to your printer over WiFi, kinda like the name suggests.

Handy little Wi-Fi add on, very useful to have.
Great fun little Wi-Fi add on module for geeetech printers, I tested it on the E180 I bought. It comes with a power cable and 1gb micro SD card.Paired with the free and super easy to use play store app via my phone it allowed the bulk of the printing procedures you need to be controlled wirelessly, including pre heating the hotend and feeding filament, many of the features seemed more handy than essential as starting a print e.g. you'd ideally want to be present for to check first layer adhesion etc but, a couple of features I really liked and could see them being worth buying this for alone are,The app has a built in basic slicer and access to an online catalogue of models so you can choose, download, slice, save and print all from your phone! The other feature was the progress indicator, ideal for leaving the print going but being able to check when it finishes without having to constantly go and check the printer. The instructions were great and I was paired and running on the first attempt, (the second truthfully but that was because I'd skipped a step the first time so had problems getting the printer and module to connect but once I'd deleted and restarted following the exact procedure as per the instructions, connected easily).Things that weren't so great! The supplied USB power lead is really short so you'd need to be right next to a PC or plug socket to use it, I used a longer cable I had handy, (android charger cable). The slicing software was very basic which was understandable being a mobile app but a few extra settings that could be controlled would really make a difference.Overall this would be a great add on and worthwhile for anyone simply wanting to track progress of a printer in another room via a glance at the screen and the other features and slicer are a great bonus, more controls in the slicer would make it a fantastic teaching aid.

Mobile phone use only
Avoid, Don't be fooled, like many of us. Its useles, it only permits printing from your phone. Who slices and prints from their phone ?!!!?It syncs with Geeetech servers. an their propitiatory EASYPRINT App on your phone, then allows you to print from your PHONE ONLY, using their APP ONLY.Its a shame, the WiFi hardware no doubt has all of the components to do the job properly, but be warned you are RESTRICTED to phone and their app only.Until a firmware upgrade or newer version that does actually make your 3D printer truly wireless so that it appears on your WiFi network and you can actually print from a wireless computer, using your preferred 3D application then avoid.

Limited use
If you combine it with a webcam then you can use it for emergency stops when/if the print goes wrong.According to Geeetech this is ONLY compatible with the EasyPrint3D app so don't buy it expecting to use it with Cura or Repetier, etc.

Useful 3D Printer gadget.
I bought this as a Christmas present for myself to use with my recently purchased Geeetech E180. It was fairly easy to set up if you follow the instructions correctly It took a few attempts to connect the printer to the app but I got it working (I must of missed something first time) It takes a little to set up the printer profile for slicing models but once its done its saved for use with every print. It's also quite handy to pre-load the sd card with g-codes ready to print to save time.

Utter waste of time
All you can do with it is send pre-baked models from the phone app to it. Nothing else. You can't control the printer from a PC or anything. The phone app is awful too.Do yourself a favour and buy a Raspberry Pi and stick OctoPi on it.
