RaijintekAIDOS II CPU Air Cooler with 10025 PWM Fan, 4 Copper Direct Contact Heat Pipes for Intel LGA 115x/AMD AM4

I bought this CPU cooler to replace a failing liquid cooler system in an HP z400 workstation. The workstation is old, and I didn't want to spend much to keep it alive, so I basically picked the cheapest cooler that looked like it'd work. What a great decision! With the old cooler, before its pump failed, the CPU would idle at around 50-60C, but as soon as it was doing any significant work, it would shoot right up to 90C, and if I ran "stress" on it, it would shoot up to 101C, then throttle itself, since 101C is the CPUs thermal danger line. Considering how much work HP went to with the liquid cooling system, and making sure the hot air was ventilated out the back, I was concerned about replacing it with this cooler, so I added a fan to pull air out of the case, and wired it to the coolant pump jumpers on the motherboard. Long story short, this little dude does a *MUCH* better job than the factory cooler, and is *MUCH* quieter, and I just couldn't be happier! The CPU now idles around 38C, and if I run "stress" for long enough (like 20min or so), I can get it to just touch 60C. Fantastic! It was a little awkward to install the clips, and the plastic motherboard clip ring is much less sturdy and confidence-inspiring than the factory hardware was, but it's hard to argue with the results!

i needed a cooler for an FX 6300 and this cooler not only can fit in a small case and easily attach to the AM3 cooler bracket, but it's quiet and effective too.

Der Kühler ist unter Desktop Betrieb (PCLinuxOS) mit ca 700U/min kaum bis gar nicht hörbar, Prime95 gut hörbar bis Laut konstant 78°C. Der AMD Box Kühler immer hörbar, unter Prime95 ein Düsenjäger mit 94,5°C. Wärmeleitpaste jeweils MX 4. Echt eine Empfehlung wert.Die Verpackung war offen und es fehlten Push Pinns, dass geht aber nicht zu Lasten des Herstellers, nehme ich an.
