Frostfire LED wireless solar powered motion sensor light

Great. Purchased three of these to line the driveway. Once turned on by inserting the included metal clip in the tiny, tiny hole, they go full brightness for about 5 seconds then go totally off. I thought mine were broken for a while as the sensor didn't work. However, after the initial light, I realised it only ever comes on again after dark.So... I attached these to my fence and waited. waited, waited, then darkness arrived. The three lights all came on within a few minutes of each other.They have three modes.Off - As I explainedDim - after dark, the lights throw a dim light over the surrounding area.Full beam - when someone walks close to the light, the full beam lights up the heavens.Now, these are battery powered solar lights. they ain't going to be brighter than bright, but I was surprised how bright they were. During absolute pitch darkness with no other light source [or starts/moon], these lights lit up the garden enough for me to see the cars, gate, house and be able to walk around comfortably without issue.Highly recommend.Ireland.UPDATE : I must have purchased about 10 to 15 of these throughout the past year or so, on the strencth of the first three working so well. They really are fabulous. Again, they aren't going to blind you but they do keep the area safely lit so you don't stumble over things in the pitch black of night, in rural area. So far, of the 10 to 15 units only one failed recently. Not a terrible situation and one I can live with.

When they work they work very well, with a gentle glow in the evening and triggered to a bright light when you walk near. Some evenings they fail to come on, but I suspect this is because where I have them they are not getting fully charged, they are shaded by the house. So if you want them to work everyday you need to ensure they get sufficient light during the day to charge up.They are unobtrusive, look smart, easy to install (one screw) and quite small. The light when triggered is fine for walking.Even though they do not work perfectly I do intend to buy more for other parts outside as they are far easier to install than a mains operated variety.

I now have four of these lights the first of which was bought 2 months ago. Even though the nights are drawing in they are still working fine & staying on dim all night. They are only small as reviewers have stated but seem well made & waterproof & are very bright for there size. I noticed that they flashed on brightly on a couple of occasions during heavy rain due to the sensitivity of the motion sensor but this can be cured by taping over the top part of the sensor with black tape. The only down side I see with these lights is that in 2 months since first purchase the price of £13.99 has now risen by £8. That's what I call inflation!! Perhaps down to the bad weather in China.

Was looking for something to shed some light when filling our bins at night during winter and found this.It's been installed for 4 months now (Feb-May 14) on a south-facing wall, 9 feet above ground level, and does what I want extremely well.As stated in other reviews:1. This is very easy to fix to a wall (a brick wall, correctly sized masonry drill bit and a ratchet screwdriver in my case).2. The light provided is bright enough to read a newspaper by, but you wouldn't want to do it for long.3. During dark hours the light will shine at a low level (quite nonintrusive for us and our neighbours) when it's not activated.4. The light comes fully on when within about 5 yards away, +/- about 60 degrees from fully facing the sensor / light.5. It is surprisingly small when you first see it (at least I was surprised) despite the dimensions being mentioned in the listing.One thing that wasn't mentioned in the listing was that this is rated to IP64 (see [...] for a definition of this) and thus this is more water-resistant than similar items I looked at. There was plenty of rain during February where I live and this just kept working without any problems.Strongly recommended by me; I'll probably get another one to go above our patio doors.

Purchased this solar light to position next to front door. Installed very easily worked well first night of installation with a dim permanent light and a bright light on activation of sensor. Second night no light at all no dim light and no sensor light. I have had this light in place for nearly a week and It hasn't lit up at all. I repositioned light into garden next to solar lights I have had for nearly 2 years to have a comparison and still no light. I have read reviews and looked into product which is easy to install with an on off switch activated by pin and my advice is to buy another product. Solar lights I have had for 2 years work great this light I have had for one week is not. Works for 24hrs then it may as well be an ornament save your money.

cercavo delle luci led per i muri del mio giardino senza fili e senza pile, perchè ne ho comprati già e fanno pena) ad un prezzo conveninte e con luce abbastanza forte e devo dire che queste fanno al caso mio, poi ho letto con sensore di movimento quindi ho provato a comprarli ( 3 luci) per vedere con mani e occhi la loro funzione e la luce che possono emettere e devo dire che rispetto a tante luci led del genere, queste sono veramente ottime. Tanto è vero che nel giro di 5 gg ne ho comprate altre 3 perchè fanno tanta luce, durano tutta la notte grazie al fatto che si accendono solo se passi da vicino e quindi non si scaricano del tutto. Li consiglio a tutti...ottimo ottimo ottimo prodotto!!!

Ha cumplido todas mis expectativas. Medidas intensidad de luz ademas la luz se intensifica cuando detecta un movimiento. Creo que he hecho una buena compra por calidad y precio

Ich hatte vorab alle die begeisterten Rezensionen gelesen und hatte daraufhin schon etwas Gutes erwartet. Ich habe einige dunkle Ecken rund ums Haus und im Garten wo ein solches Licht hingehört. Natürlich Solar und automatisch ein/aus je nach Tageszeit. Mit vielen Solarprodukten hatte ich so meine Probleme, zu klobig, zu umständlich etc.Als nun das kleine Ding ankam musste ich erst einmal feststellen, dass es wirklich klein ist. Noch viel kleiner als ich gedacht hatte. Was kann denn da rauskommen?Nun, es kommt ein sehr helles Licht heraus, wenn es sich bei Dämmerung einschaltet. Geht man dann aber daran vorbei, legen die LED's noch mal so richtig nach, man wird förmlich geblendet, bis das nach festgelegter Zeit wieder 'normal-stark' weiterleuchtet.Was aber noch ein Knüller ist, betrifft die Aufladung. Ich habe einiges an Solarleuchten herumstehen, auch Frösche etc. die leuchten, aber wenn die mal nicht viel Sonne kriegen bleibt es finster.Das kleine Ding hatte ich irgendwo auf die Terasse gelegt, da wo keine Sonne hinkommt. Abends dann das grelle Licht. Da ich immer noch nicht dazu gekommen bis es anzubringen, liegt es seit Tagen immer noch auf der Terasse ohne direktes Sonnenlicht. Aber es leuchtet Abend für Abend durch und wenn ich zig mal vorbeigehe, schalten die LED's auf volle Leistung.Es ist also das ideale Licht wenn man irgendwo Dauerbeleuchtung haben will und gleichzeitig als Bewegungsmelder mit grellem Licht abschreckt. Ich werde mir weitere dieser kleinen Dinger holen und damit Bereiche rund ums Haus sichern.Nachteile wären (je nach beabsichtigter Anwendung), dass Solarpanel und Lampe eine Einheit sind. Ich habe auch Solarlampen (z.B. in einem Schuppen) wo das Solarpanel über ein langes Kabel wo anders ins Tageslicht hingehängt werden kann und die Lampe im dunklen Raum hängt. Hier ist auch Dauerlicht nicht immer erwünscht und man braucht dann einen An/Aus Schalter oder einen Bewegungsmelder der wieder ganz abschaltet. Auch bei anderen, ganz vom Tageslicht abgeschotteten Ecken muss das Solarpanel über ein Kabel wo anders angebracht werden können.Wer nur ein nettes, gedämpftes Licht haben will, um so im Großen und Ganzen den Weg zu finden oder Lichtlein im Garten haben will, ist mit Solar-Fröschen aus dem Baumarkt besser bedient.Das Ding aber leuchtet - und wie! Die ausführliche Beschreibung des Lichts in dieser Rezension ist also nicht nur Empfehlung sondern auch ein Hinweis darauf, dass es wirklich richtig hell wird wo es hängt.Hoffentlich hält das Ganze für eine Weile, dazu kann ich natürlich noch nichts sagen. Bei dem Preis wäre ich schon mit 1 1/2 bis 2 Jahren zufrieden.
