It did a good job protecting the seed and new growth. Keep it tidy when you put it down as any wrinkles or odd overlaps will disrupt ground contact and allow the seed to move when watering. Consider killing existing grass or cutting holes to allow it through. I had an issue where established grass in certain areas made a “tent” and allowed seed to wash away from the established grass, causing bare patches. I left it on the ground for about a month until the new grass had grown through. During removal I found that dry areas came off easier. I used short and quick jerking motions to peel the cover off. Tapping my fingers to tighten the slack and pull it off, if that makes sense. I noticed other reviews talking about one side being different than the other but that’s not true. Both sides are the same. The material is hydrophobic until it gets wet. The water will bead off but only initially.

Not a value. The return shipping will cost more than the purchase price. I'll never buy from this company again.

This has been amazing for growing grass in a highly trafficked area on a slight hill that we have had trouble with for years. It keeps the soil and grass seed in place, and most importantly, it keeps our dogs off the dirt. This has saved our carpets from the dirt that otherwise would have been dragged into the house.I used lawn staples to hold it in place, and water at least twice a day to keep it moist. It is easy to see where you need to water, and it keeps the moisture in to promote growth. (I read a review about it being dry underneath, this is human error, not because of the product. You still have to water it regularly) We have also had plenty of rain, so that has helped.This fabric does rip occasionally (again - I have two little dogs that like to run, play, and kick up their back legs) so after about two weeks, there are many holes and rips. I just pull it back to tighten and and it keeps doing its job. That being said, mine will be thrown out and not be able to be reused. I would highly recommend this for hard to grow areas and definitely if you have pets that might disrupt the growth. I will be leaving it on as long as possible in hopes that once I take it off the grass will be established enough that it will hold up to our dogs. Highly recommend!
