Better quality AND price than I could find in store. Takes 2 AAA batteries, blue backlight stays on for 5 seconds when you hit snooze. Using this as a backup alarm for my phone (including to travel with) and it’s PERFECT. Alarm is loud and to the point. Buttons have good tactile click when pressed, no setup instructions required. No frills, no fuss, just hoping it lasts a while. Photos are the weight: 2.4 oz without batteries, and 3.2 oz with batteries. It’s very light and small, slightly larger than a credit card.

This is a great alarm clock. It has everything you need in an alarm clock (large digital display, well located snooze button, and loud alarm) without the special features that you don't need. The time and alarm were easy to set up. The clock case is wide at the bottom, for a sturdy foundation. I suspect that I'll get many years of use from this alarm clock.

This is exactly what I was wanting. Super simple, compact, lightweight, no unnecessary frills. Super simple can be hard to find these days, so I am a fan of this product. Other reviewers have spoken of the battery door not fitting securely and issues with the numbers on the screen going wonky after a few months. I haven't had these issues but if I do I will change my review right away as that would be unacceptable. Part of the point of simple products is that they should simply work. Just as mine does currently. I docked 1 star bc I ordered 'charcoal black' and received a very light grey. I don't think it was a misleading color description - based on other reviewers photos, I believe they sent me the wrong color. Not a big deal, though I did want the charcoal black.

I’m very happy with this Sharp Digital Alarm Clock. The tactile plastic case with soft rubberized finish gives it a nice feel and makes it sturdy without being bulky. The blue backlight on demand is perfect at night bright enough to check the time but not overwhelming. This is a fantastic little clock! No light unless you touch it. Calm escalation alarm. Peaceful colors. Perfect for travel. Batteries required.

I would really like this (I even ordered another because I need a few battery backups and I know it works) other than you have to press the snooze for the back light so in the dark it's hard to see. And the main thing that bothers me is the alarm will just stop after a few minutes. So if you fall back asleep that's it. It has a snooze but if the alarm doesn't even stay on I don't know how reliable that is. I've been using it for work for a year and at worst I have just reset the alarm and went back to bed but now I have an electric alarm as well. (I've woken up too many times with an alarm clock blinking because the electricity went out for a few seconds overnight) So it just depends on what you use it for. If it's mainly for a clock it works great and runs forever on just 2 triple A batteries. I've been using the same ones since I got it. It's accurate and has a good display size. But if you're a heavy sleeper and can sometimes sleep through an alarm, this isn't for you.

I was somewhat skeptical about this clock because of the low price. But so far I’m extremely pleased with it! Accurate time, easy to set and use alarm, and takes up little space on the night table. A really great little clock!!

Positive features include compact design (good for travel), clear easy-to-read black digits and display, nice casing, simple and affordable. Primary negative feature includes a top-mounted on/off switch that can be accidentally turned on (happened twice) after completing travel. Be especially careful to avoid wall charging cords for your other devices accidentally snagging on the switch and pulling it on when unpacking without you noticing it and thus waking you and/or your spouse up earlier than you’d like on the weekend! Minor negative feature is that light does seem a bit too bright when activated in a dark room at night.

It's not large but no backlight (blessing) and switches easy to operate. Can't find any others in here that don't come with annoying auto dim light.
