Stumpwork Embroidery & Thread Painting: Stitch 3-D Nature Motifs

I am a huge fan of Megan’s work and was delighted to learn she had a book published. The paper quality is lovely, the photos are priceless as the are large enough to see all the details in each step. The photos are well labeled to coordinate effectively with the step-by-step directions. The colors are beautiful, techniques are clearly described. All in all a well planned and perfectly executed book that I will treasure with many projects I want to make. Thank you Megan!

I had great fun embroidering this luna moth for a hat. Love the great ideas and patterns in this book. Stumpwork wasn't a type of embroidery that I had tried (or even heard of) before.

I am very pleased with this book, it has wonderful diagrams and pictorial break downs to help even the lest experienced embroider.

This is a must have embroidery book. Wether you’re just starting out, or a veteran stitcher. It has something for everyone. Meg goes into great details on all the techniques and tools required to create a piece. But her patterns are definitely the star of the show. She went above and beyond in the quality of these beautiful patterns. They’re simply stunning. She makes everything easy to understand and execute. It’s written extremely well, and a joy to read. Even if you aren’t technically into stumpwork embroidery, there’s enough good basic information for any stitcher to make this book part of your library. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves to stitch.

The media could not be loaded. I had no prior experience with stumpwork or 3D embroidery, but this book was just was I needed to obtain a new obsession!Meg Zaniewski did an excellent job of presenting the projects and the instructions are done beautifully - and I believe that there is a real art to writing good instructions! Ample photographs are included each step of the way. She uses DMC threads and makes it easy to know what you need to complete a project.I am about to start another one of these projects!Thank you @megembroiders

Her work is awe inspiring. There are wonderful instructions accompanied by beautiful photos. This makes me want to sit down & try embroidering …but doubtful I could make anything this delicate and beautiful.

Il libro è una gioia per gli occhi! Le spiegazioni passo passo sono molto chiare, e anche se probabilmente i progetti non sono proprio semplicissimi (del resto lo stumpwork è una tecnica che richiede un po' di esercizio) è facile seguire le istruzioni e arrivare a un risultato. Ho apprezzato molto che siano inclusi suggerimenti su come incorniciare ed esporre i lavori finiti.

Het is een mooi en leuk boek. Alles is duidelijk omschreven, zelfs de steken staan er in en de kleur draden. De patronen zitten op de laatste pagina’s. Ik heb er al zin in om aan te beginnen.

Sprache leider Englisch aber wunderbare Schritt-für-Schrittbebilderung und tolle, hübsche Projekte. Für mich ganz klar 5 Sterne. Freue mich schon darauf, mit dem schönen Monarchfalter zu beginnen 😁
