Good Value For Money - Sound Quality Very Good Value
The media could not be loaded. This is a well made speaker, far better quality than one of the old iPod docking station travel speaker sets, but not as good as the new breed of Bose or Sonos offerings. Having said that, for this price you get solid middle range of sound, without being particularly bassy or trebly. It's very easy to set up, and the AA battery makes it easy to keep working while you're on your picnic. There's no remote control, and the features are very limited, but for the price, this is a very solid product.

Great value for the price
This is a nice piece of kit, which at the price (£40) is really worth a go. The speaker can run off the mains and batteries, both without issue. It is well built and small in size however that doesn't detract from the sound quality, which is also very good. When it arrived I found it easy to set up and get going and also found there to a good Bluetooth connection. There are obviously more expensive Portable Speakers but this is, for the price, a great piece of equipment which I would highly recommend.

Great
Great speaker, excellent sound quality and a doddle tp pair with bluetooth enabled devices....however playback interrupted by the slightest impediment in the gap between the speaker and the device, which is why I have docked it a star. Overall for my purposes, mainly using in the kitchen....very good.

You get what you pay for!
If you have realistic demands of this Bluetooth speaker then I can report it delivers a reasonable amount of oomph per penny, and feels reassuringly heavy in the hand. However, if your expectation level is too high, then you'll be disappointed. It won't for instance provide you with a musically detailed hi-fi sound - for that you'll have to pay a lot more.I'm currently using if for listening to MP3s, or streaming YouTube music videos from by my iPhone, while I'm busy in the kitchen. For that experience alone, it's certainly worth the dosh. However, it offers a much greater range of uses than that, and it will perform nicely when paired with any Bluetooth-enabled device. It's also very easy to set-up and operate and will work in many foreign countries should you wish to take it on holiday - thanks to the neat interchangeable plugs. In summary, this is quite a nice little speaker that delivers reasonable sound quality for the price, and has a decent build quality.

Very reasonably priced for what it does
There are so many portable wireless speakers on the market now, at a vast range of prices and stylish designs, and with various bells and whistles. The TDK TW550 at around £40 is at the lower end of the market certainly, but represents very reasonable value for money (even if there were no batteries included!). It only took me a few minutes to get it working to play Band on The Run from my ipod and the sound quality is good though not spectacular. Also, unlike some more expensive portable speakers it is quite compact and is not very heavy. Recommended.

Music on the move
Excellent portable speaker for music on the move both plugged into it and Bluetoothed and also can be used on battery or mains , a plus if you use it on mains is that it can recharge Ipod/ pad /phone and phone via its USB connection. Its fairly light - possibly not as small as I would like - as is about the size of a tissue box , and heavier once batteries are inserted .It is easy to use and connect via Bluetooth, and has a rich non tinny sound - and bass etc can be adjusted via the ipod/phoneAdditionally it was well packed in a robust box wih lightweight cardboard packing for protection. On the whole a great device from a reputable manufacturer that will hopefully serve many years of music!

The Magic and Mystery Of Bluetooth
I sometimes wonder what, if he had the power to catapult forward in time,a Medieval warlock might make of inventions such as these (the Catweazle -that'll date me! - in my own soul finds such artifacts incomprehensible!)This TDK Portable Wireless Speaker is an impressive piece of kit. It's simple, stylish and dead easy to set up (ok I'll admit it Mrs Wolf came to the rescue!)I gave it a test drive on two mobile devices (my own iPhone 4 and Mrs W'sSony Experia) and the Bluetooth technology (there be dragons indeed!) kickedin without a hitch. For reasons beyond my ken the sound quality was far better(richer and louder) when the system was linked with the Apple product than withthe Sony, which suggests that performance may vary depending upon what kind ofcontraption you're hooking it up to. I'd suggest trying before buying if possible.I'm very happy with it but remain discombobulated by the magic involved.
