Python Aquarium Pump Female Connector

Wonderful, easy to install

Tried to use other products to form the hose end for garden hose connection, but they leaked. These have never leaked on me.

This female part is a mate to the male connector. Mont the male one on your aquarium hose and you can use a garden hose for your output. Or mount a female one on a hose and you can fill a tank from the standard garden hose spigot. Put a male on one side of an aquarium hose and a female on the other end and youve got a nice extension hose for your Phthon or water changing device. It can be used exclusively with your Python device or you can mix and match what hoses you have to do some longer distance water moving. It surprises me how durable these connectors are. Each one generally lasts me a couple of years of weekly use. And if the hose is mounted well, they dont leak all over your floor either. Dont overtighten them though or theyll crack. Also be aware that an aqurium hose cant carry as much current as a garden hose. Dont apply high pressure to avoid damaging your aquarium hoses. Good quality plastic connector that doesnt leak.

I have an Aqueon siphon with a 50 ft hose. The individual parts broke, one after another. Replaced the full unit (excluding the hose) a few times. I decided to get the primary pieces of the Python Siphon separately and piece them together since there's nothing wrong with the 50 ft hose. A few dollars is better than $80. This product is a lot better quality but 4 stars because I'm tired of dealing with plastic individual pieces. Of course, plastic is a lot easier to manufacture and keep revenue coming in when they break down. If the day comes when a metal version is built, I'll be happier. At least Python makes a better version.

I have a very old python aquarium siphon setup (probably circa 1980's) but it worked perfectly - so when I found a part broken, I knew it made more sense to repair rather than replace the whole system. I contacted python and they gave me the information needed to get the right parts. This part looks slightly different than my original parts, so I needed a bit of support to figure out how to install it, which they provided. Although the tubing for this part fits extremely tight to it and it appears machine installed, it actually can be installed by hand. In a short while my python was working like new again.

Ok, my Python is 30 years old now, and I was about to replace it entirely because this fitting on it had a crack that leaked. I decided to try just buying this fitting, and it replaced the broken one just fine. Saved me a few bucks. I'm happy with it.

Great product. Exactly as described.

Very easy to use. I’ve had good longevity with a python hose I bought over 20 years ago that heads just cracked. This replaced them easily and quickly. Hopefully build quality is as good as when they started to make these.

The plastic nut that attaches to the faucet adaptor cracked on my sons python and had to replace the whole unit. It should not be overtightened and no lateral force exerted on the python by pulling on the hose
