I can read in a power outage!!!
We have been experiencing power outages and I was worried about using kerosene lights when Los Angeles was hit by a freaky hurricane a few weeks ago. I never feel comfortable reading or knitting when we have power failures because the light just never is bright enough for my eyes. This lamp is incredible -- it lightens up the whole room even better than one of my LED lights by itself. I was amazed that I didn't even need batteries in it to have it charge via USB port...testing now how long middle light source can last without batteries or recharge. Have not attempted solar yet because of cloudy days. It is also so light without the batteries. I am very happy with this purchase, I like the 3 light choices and that it has a emergency red flashing light...I feel very secure now because I know if I am without electricity with nothing to do, it makes me more anxious!! So the D batteries ordered will remain in the fridge till they are needed..11/19/23 Update - This lamp is fantastic. Keep it at a south facing window that has a decorated white roller shade --- no batteries or electric connectivity -- runs for a long time on solar!! So far, testing every day for a month and the light works like you've plugged it in or charged it via the USB cord....love this lamp!!

Worked wondering during Hurricane Beryl
I was out of power for 7 days during hurricane Beryl. I used this every night and it lasted one 1 set of D batteries. The charge ports helped me charge my phone and it’s bright even on the lowest setting.

Excelente alternativa para los lugares donde se va la luz con regularidad.
