I use my mirrorless camera to take images of birds so I set up the camera on a tripod and using a remote switch I can get away from the very shy birds and still take my pictures. The problem this switch solves for me is reach. It comes with an extension cable so I can get an additional 3-4 feet away from the camera and not distract the birds as much. The switch itself is simple to use, plug it in and push the button. It will also lock the button for long exposures. There's no battery to worry about and it's small enough and durable enough to stick into your pocket when not in use. All the functions of the OEM switch with the added length for a fraction of the cost = great value.

The button half press got some considerable "slop", meaning it can be sometimes difficult to perform a half press because the detent in the button design doesnt have a decent amount of feedback or push back if that makes sense. Other than that, works great with my camera.

Plug and play, no need for instructions in using this for my Nikon D90 camera. There was no setting needed on the camera. A short push will start the autofocus, then simply push completely to take the photo. The included extension cable is a great idea for use with a tripod. No batteries needed.

This wired remote works and is inexpensive but it’s also very cheaply made. The feel of the remote and button action are more like a toy.

Funciona perfecto sin pagar precio de fábrica. Tiene bloqueo como el de fábrica (Panasonic Lumix DC S5, 1ª versión). Como extra, trae una extensión. Probado y aprobado. Comentario al margen: Si necesitas un cable disparador --que en teoría debería de poder usar el teléfono en su lugar, pero nunca he logrado hacerlo cuando lo necesito- esta es la solución. Si traes el tripié, seguro tienes en donde traer el cable.
