Let’s be clear, I can’t crack eggs without making a mess. So for me this was a great improvement and the function where you can sepearate yolk and white...genius.But doesn’t work 100% of the time as I still find bits of shell.My overall opinion, if my one broke tomorrow - id buy another one.

I love gadgets like this which solve problems which do not really exist! I eat eggs daily as part of a high-protein, low carb breakfast so thought I'd give this a try. Admittedly, it's faster just to break the eggs on the side of the jug but I find using the Egg Cracker breaks them more evenly, meaning I don't spend five minutes fishing out annoying bits of shell. The Separator add-on was a bit hit-and-miss when I tried it out but it's not something I'll use very often so that doesn't bother me.

2 out of 10What is the point?Keeping the yolk intact? About 50% of the time.Keeping shell out of the egg? About 90%.Keeping your hands clean? 1%. However well it works for the other 2, for this, you have to wrestle with the plastic clips to get the shell out, and the shell is invariably broken, jagged, in pieces, no clean break. And of course, if you thought it would be faster? no way, clearing each egg out is messy and slow.

This is a useless item, when I received it I tried it strait away, I put 4 eggs into a frying pan 2 broke during the process, see photo. This would be a disaster had I been trying to get egg whites for a soufflé or meringue. NOT a good buy.

My dad has Parkinson’s so I bought this as he found it too much hassle to break eggs. He has found this simple to use and can have omelettes or fried eggs again. This is not a gimmick it is a well made and effective tool and I would say if someone only had the use of one hand it would be ideal. There is no broken shell in the egg probably due to the clever opening action and if you need to separate the yolk from the white there is a separate attachment for this included. Great value at £10 and I would recommend for anybody with dexterity issues.

If I could give it zero stars I would! My son has cerebral palsy and got this for him for cooking in sixth form thinking it would be easier for him because of his lazy hand, the first time he put an egg in he cut his finger and it took ages to stop bleeding!!!! Always get shell in it too yolk always break, it’s downright messy, it’s quicker and easier for him to continue struggling as he did before!

The very first time I used this product, the egg yolk broke. I tried to clean the zanmini cracker and sliced the top of my finger very badly. The instructions give nowhere near the warning it should. The blades are like razors, so please be very careful when using!!

Egg yolk breaks nearly everytime so no good for fried eggs. Eggs with slighty tougher shells just fly out the end and break on the wall making a right mess. i hate cracking eggs for some reason im awful at it but this is even worse then me!
