I used the matting to hold wood chips around my vegetable garden which is on a slope and would need to hold up to people walking and heavy wheelbarrows. The product was perfect for my needs and is working really well. I don't know how well it would hold up to cars on a slope and the large gaps in the design means any filling materials may move over time. That said it is perfect for what I needed and would recommend.

We put it on our driveway and as soon as the car was on it it tore up this rubbish now have to pull it all up and try something else. Waste of money and time

I have been having a try out with the grid to see if I can determine the best way to use it. The grid cells are large so it looking like the best method is to use a few pegs to get the best shape and some tension in the cells and then fill the cells with gravel. Just tipping gravel in did not really work very well, you also need to prepare the edges as obviously the gravel must be contained and the mesh will not do this on its own. As it is path there will not be any vehicles so weight is not a big issue, the grid should help to stop the gravel migrating or moving down the slight slope.

So easy to use and keeps the gravel in place

Was surprised how small package was when delivered, A little fidelity to lay down and a bit flimsy when filling with gravel. Just a shame that it didn’t come with pins to hold it in place as had to buy some to hold it in place.

Covered the whole sloped drive in these grids to prevent gravel migration. Grid lifted up and through the gravel in a matter of days. Ripped up the lot.Total waste of money. Do not buy.

This mat is quite a heavy pack when all bundled up with both pieces. It's essentially thick tough plastic that opens out to form a grid to contain grass, gravel etc.It's a little tricky to set up, in that you need to expand it and peg it in place with quite some tension, be it fully or to cut to size. You can't walk on it when there's nothing between the cells, as it does deform. That means you need to peg, expand and fill slowly a bit at a time rather than lay it all out in one go. You need to pack it quite well otherwise it will move about a bit and deform. I certainly wouldn't try a car on it though.It's certainly cheaper than rigid plastic squares but does require a bit more work, and can't be walked on until filled. It does have holes for drainage, so each cell won't fill with water.
