Great tone.
Gone back to using D'Addario bronze wound strings after made mistake of trying cheaper ones....the tone is completely different & much richer, especially as my mandolin is electro-acoustic & I sometimes play through a small amp 😊

Not that impressed.
Thought I'd try these after recommendations. Not too sure though, feel good under the fingers but don't seem quite as loud as my usual J74s.

String thing
I am new to the mandolin so I chose the same make and type of strings I use on my acoustic guitar, No problem but too soon to determine lifespan of the strings with the coating

Exactly as described. Lovely, smooth strings to play with. Be careful with the E strings though... They're VERY fragile!

These have got to be the perfect strings for a folk, blues, bluegrass mandolin.Have now had them on for about two months and still sound excellent.
