The Best Film
Great stuff I use it a lot. I have to replace this on vehicles all the time and in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing it's easy and great. On curved areas it gets tricky. Straight areas it's pretty idiot proof. Wet application works the best, dry application is not forgiving to a mistake, even a small one. Easy to get air trapped under it applying dry. Wet application allows you to move it where needed and get the air out. IF you are not a professional that does this all the time then application can be difficult and you will come to appreciate people who do it and what they charge for doing it. 3M is the best film I have found and unfortunately like all 3M products the price is not the best. Yes it is more expensive but yes you get what you pay for. I have tried other popular film products and in the end 3M is the best, expensive, but the best film. Hoods, mirrors, fenders, and door edges are the easiest to do for a DIY person. When you get into bumper covers, under the door handles, and some hoods or fenders depending on shape is when things get really tricky and might land the DIY in trouble. The price for this size roll is a good deal when you average it out cost per foot.

Thick film that works well
Easy to use but must use a wet application with a bit of baby shampoo. DONT use just water. the baby shampoo increases the lubrication many times over and lets you adjust the film to the perfect fit. roll is thick so be sure to use a sharp razor to cut as it will tend to tear if not cut properly and will leave a bad looking line.Applied this sheet to my model 3 front bumper. sheet covers the entire bumper with some trimming and stress relief cuts. Will buy again when i replace it down the line as this was my first time applying and i made some mistakes.

Yes and no.
The product, excellent!Take this from a gal who has done professional wallpapering and easily tansitioned to tinting home Windows without a hitch.... Put this on front of a simple curve shaped pop-up trailer camper to protect from rocks as there was no diamond plate....I haven't cussed like that in a long time. Ha ha. Almost lost the whole piece!Watched a slew of videos to be educated on how to apply even though I felt confident. Mixed the right solution and applied very liberally, it just kept drying too fast, hence so many bubbles. A lot faster than appeared on videos. Now it was 90 out, yet I was safely in shaded garage and still kept dousing it with loads of solution. Ended up having to poke many of the bubbles to relieve them. Smaller ones do seem to be going away in the direct heat and esp better with a finger push.Cutting....ugh... This stuff is strong. Brand new blade....trying to cut nice with a straight edge, did not go well. Ended up having to grab scissors so as not to carve into the fiberglass. Not prettiest result.Best advice from videos... It is strong and workable with patience. That advice helped save me, to save the piece when it wrinkled all up and adhered to itself while trying to get behind the propane tank. Once I flattened it all back out on a long table, with patience and tons more solution, I had to get a second person to help put the piece on as a whole. It's slipped on easily that way, yet immediately I could feel it, that I could not smooth fast enough to get to the whole thing to smooth in a proper manner. Is it on? Yes. Will it do the job? Absolutely. Would I personally want to apply again? No way. Not ever.Maybe it is different in cooler ambient temps? But who wants to wait till the right season to install it.

Hard to beat.
Made the mistake of buying some of the cheaper non 3M film and ended up throwing it away when it would not lay down on my hood for S!!T. Ordered the 3M film and put it on no problem. Had done a few hoods and doors before and had always used 3M film. The off brand is not even worth it for the few things you could use it on. Spending a little more was so worth it.

Don’t do this unless you’re experienced. Specially if you have an uneven surface
I tried to put this on the bumper of a model three. The edges crinkled up and even with a hot hairdryer I was not able to get them to shrink enough to fit. I ended up ripping off and throwing away the whole thing. I am re-ordering a 1‘ x 4‘ and I hope to get that to install without fault on the edges. Are used the proper solution and did everything correctly. I even use the torch to try to burn the wrinkles out what the material would not shrink enough. Don’t do this unless you’re experienced your waste your money like I did.

Awesome product, difficult to install onto front of Model 3.
Product is great! Unfortunately, it’s waaay more difficult to install on the front of a Model 3 than the YouTube videos show! 😅I’m going to instead install it onto less curvy parts of the car for protection. Tesla really needs to improve its paint quality!!

Worst product I have ever used. Don’t waste your money like I did.
Do not buy this product. Worst product I have ever worked with to put on a car. Leaves a ton of bubbles. Product is to thick to apply.
