The rubber gold mats were perfect for my daughter’s baby shower.

These placemats are great. But, they were folded in the shipping packaging (by manufacturer) and took a while to flatten out.

The quality was better than expected. Sturdy and pretty. Very easy to clean - just have to wipe it off.

Setting table

I ordered these placemats to use as bedroom side table mats/solid doilies under night stand lamps, rather than dining placemats. Although they are a little bit of a metallic gold, I believe they will work better than the current cloth doilies because they are made of thicker, durable material that will protect the table better from the hard base of the lamp and they can be vacuumed and wiped off without having to remove them for cleaning each time I dust like I find myself doing with cloth doilies. I can't speak to their durability and use as dining placemats. However, I will share my impression for this use from my inspection of them. These placemats are just a little larger than a large dinner plate and they have clearly defined cut-out holes throughout the design. I prefer placemats that are solid, so that food doesn't drop down through the holes. I have to wonder that with food being spilled in between the holes and gumming up the placemats, how easy would they be to clean and how many submersions in warm sudsy water could they withstand before the metallic gold starts to chip or flake off? Hence, my purchasing them for a different purpose.
