Works better if adding additional flux to wick
These desoldering wick braids do work, but work much better if adding liquid flux to the braid before using. After removing components (capacitors, resistors) from a circuit board, the little holes are left with solder and it must be fully removed in order to install the new capacitors or resistors. This braid by itself takes several tried to get all the old solder out of the hole. But if I coat the braid with liquid flux, it clears out the hole(s) much more quickly.
