Tone Generator | TREND Networks (formerly IDEAL Networks)The Tone Generator allows a user to trace and test all types of copper cables commonly found in domestic, commercial, or industrial voice, data, or video installations, including telephone wiring, data networks, electrical and COAX cabling. Features This cable tracing tool is perfect for accurately identifying cable pairing using its multiple tone pattern feature in up to 20km of cabling. It’s fast and easy to use thanks to the visual signal indicators and powerful speaker combination.The Tone Generator can transmit two different audio tone signals (500Hz to 3KHz) via it’s built-in RJ45 port. It also helps with troubleshooting thanks to its range of test functions. It has four resistance continuity and polarity testing, voltage indication, and telephone handset power support and check functionality.It’s compatible with any brand of tool that operates on the same audio lengths but is best used with other TREND Networks products.
