Necessary if you have multiple units
We have two sets, 4 colors total, and have renamed the Google TV's to their corresponding remote color. If my kids leave theirs on I can just shout into the void to shut off blue TV and it does. Everything is easy to push, volume buttons work well, fits snuggly and is comfortable in the hand.

Fits well, though still has flash from the molds inside button holes. Back texture improves grip a little, but controller can still slip off surfaces or from the hand
