It is not entirely metal, the black part is plastic.

Can this tool be used for roller skates too?

Yes, I bought them for my roller skates. You will eventually need to get an Allen too Las well for toe stops. Depending on your type of skate.

Does this tool work for quad roller skates?

Yes it works perfect. I use it for my quads and inline skates.

Can this tool pop the bearings out of a wheel once it’s off the skate?

Yes, I used the t-type allen part to pop the bearing out of the wheel when I was switching out my wheels. Just be gentle with it - applyinig pressure in rotating fashion (or else you'll ding your bearings which you may or may not care about). But literally all I need to switch out wheels on any board is this tool and the new wheels (and bearings if I were to switch those out).
