does it come with the gold globe keeper on top like pictured.......iv'e seen them with silver keepers

We got this from amazon and it came with a gold keeper

Does the specified height of this mill include or exclude the gold knob on the top?

I have measured mine and it looks to be slightly under 18cm (17.8cm) including the gold knob

how tall is it ? title says 10cm and lower down it says 17.8 cm

It's 18cm tall - looks like a typo in the description, 10cm would be very short for a pepper mill!

Does the Peugeot Paris salt or pepper mill grind well and is it reliable? Does the 18cm grind better than the 22cm?

The Peugeot pepper mill grinds amazingly. Have had my 18cm model for 30 odd years, (it is the same design now as it was then) and grinds as good now as it did then, with constant use from the family. Unlike cheaper versions which always wear out quickly. Have just bought my son both, and the salt grinder looks to be of exactly the same quality, I expect it to last as long. I assume the 22cm would be exactly the same. An excellent investment, 100% recommend.
