1/10 Scale RC Axial SCX10 Truck Full Metal Assembled Transmission Gearbox with Steel Gear Set

Since i bought its been on my AX10. It works just fine. I marked it down 2 stars on sturdiness because I didn't mess with the screws ever. It lost 2 screws recently dunno where. I don't know how they got loose I never messed with them. But it took a long time for it to happen. Over all a good product

The media could not be loaded.  I can deflect the gear sideways to the shaft. Everything is tight but the bearing seams to move in the case.

Seems good so far. I only use it for low speed crawling. It's a pretty quiet running gearbox, so it can't be too bad. I have it coupled with a Yellowjacket brushless motor. It has a nice weight to it and I think the fit/finish is great. I run this comp styled rig more than any others and it's been flawless through about 40 battery changes by now.As with everything RC, I take all axles and transmissions apart and reassemble. I wash all the housings and threaded holes with dish soap/water and blast with air. Mine came with a film of grease on the gears. It was an adequate amount, but I redid it anyway.

Used this on my rgt 86100 which it says it can fit. Only two of the 4 mounting holes line up on mine. Still works great and seems solid. I could always drill out the other two and put screws in those of necessary so no big deal. Also output shafts have holes all the way through for long grub screws which I love.

This is a good copy and inexpensive alternative to the Vanquish 3 gear transmission which is an aluminum copy of the Axial transmission which is a copy of the Team Associated 3 gear transmission dating back to 1984. I haven't taken it apart enough to confirm there is no slipper pad, but there doesn't appear to be one. I am fine with that; however, I wish it came with a 56t 32p spur gear instead of the 87t 48p spur gear. I know several of the SCX10 RCs came with 48p, but if you're upgrading to a more durable transmission you probably want a more durable spur gear as well. That's my only complaint. The fit and finish is very good, and It is extremely smooth and quiet. It has also held up to the power of the HH 2200kv stubby brushless motor I am using with it. Copy cat parts are often really good or really bad, and fortunately this one is really good.

Pretty nice transmission out the box, has nice metal gears instead of plastic. It's quite bigger than my stock transmission but that's expected for something built to be better. Installation took a lot of customization on my rig due to it not being an scx10 2 but an rgt so it's was not as wide and the mount wasn't quite the same. Don't buy to put in your rgt unless you plan on buying all scx10 2 mount plates and frame cross members to widen it.

I bought this for my scx10 and the first impression was outstanding. As an amateur machinist, I really appreciate the quality craftsmanship in the gearbox itself.It fit perfectly in my scx10 and connected right up to the stock drive shafts with no play whatsoever in the outdrive. Tho only down side was that the included drive gear is 48p, where the stock gearing is 32, so I had the option of either swapping the drive gear or the pinion. I chose the drive gear which was relatively easy to change, but does eliminate the slipper clutch for the moment. I'm not reducing my overall score just for that, maybe the manufacturer could add an option for what pitch you would like, since this will fit multiple vehicles.Made my first visit to the course tonight with great success, very smooth drive, didn't cause the motor or esc to get warm at all, and garnered a few comments from the on-lookers. So far, so good!

Super smoothEnded up using a 20t pinion (not included) as thats the largest I could fit between the motor shaft and spur gear.There was no grease inside when I got it so I used white lithium grease on all the gears and locktight on all the screws (looks like it will fall apart over time without locktight)Fits absolutely perfect on my scx10ii with 540 sized motorVery quiet and smooth transmission compared to stock transmissionLooks very nice 👌

great product , but useless with out supplying the fine tooth pinon and will be sending back for a refund .

I put this in my drift truck running a sensored 10.5T motor on almost 1:1 spur and pinion and it’s held up for months without issue.

Great product! Well built motor for my scx10 ii trail honcho. Full metal, great quality. It is pretty loud!.It also made my rock crawler alot slower and more 4low feel.
