Good value
Thismis so much cheaper than competing products that my expectations were low. However I've been using it for over 6 months on my Nikon 300mm lens with no problems.I find that you need to loosen the nut quite a bit to rotate the lens, but other than that I'm barely aware that it's there in day to day shooting.

Does the job
Bought a Nikon 70-200mm f/4 and noted no tripod ring so took a chance on this based on other reviews. Not disappointed as it fits great and seems very solid

Well made, great value product.
Excellent product, really well made, finish suits the Nikon Lens and Camera. £150.00 less than the overpriced Nikon version. Grips the lens firmly, safely, without marking. Whole heartedly recommend this, you will not be disappointed. Fitted 70-200mm f4 VR and D810. Would have like to have given it 6 stars.

iShoot and Nikon version comparrison
There are a number of things going for this tripod mount. Firstly it is much cheaper than the Nikon version, it is quite well made and best of all it has an Arca-Swiss type foot, thus saving the need of another bracket if you use that type of quick release. However, I have also bought a second hand Nikon version and this has highlighted some important differences between the two products. I bought mine for less than a £100, so still expensive, but the Nikon version is a heavier moulding, the felt inner lining also goes to edges, unlike the iShoot, which is a narrow strip, which when worn might leave metal rubbing against the lens. There are small ridges on the Nikon inside which does allow smoother turning when changing from landscape to portrait. However, the differences so far don't amount to a deal breaker but the following difference does. The catch on the Nikon securing the lens is much more substantial with the iShoot catch being very thin at the bottom of the catch. My second hand Nikon is in very good condition with the only wear showing on that part of the catch, obvious really, as when the mount is in its loose position for turning the camera, it is going to take most of the weight. Therefore, I will keep the iShoot as a spare and not use it in its loose position as I wouldn't want to risk my £1400 pound lens on what appears to be a possible weakness in the iShoot design. If you intend only limited use I think the iShoot will do the job but perhaps not for extended use in its loose position. I have included three photos. The first shows the catch with the Nikon on the right and the second and third photos showing the felt, the third photo is the Nikon and you can clearly see the raised area which seems to help with smoother turning.

Good little gadget
Nikon charge a preposterous sum of money for their own RT1 - about eight times as much as this. The Nikon is better made, but for the price this copy is excellent value.

Cheaper Than Nikon's
I bought this for my Nikkor 80-200mm and it seems to work fine and probably just as well as the Nikon branded version but at half the price.

Recomendo!!
